In such a difficult time as a clan war, there is no joy for kittens. Forced to work from 4 moons, Thornkit and Briarkit don't have time to enjoy their childhood. Instead of annoying the old nanny, they work for the benefit of the weakened clan. Only when all the work is done, they run to play in the meadow under the night sky.

The tweening (especially the eyes) remind me of "pull the tab" books. I think that combined with the art style gives it an almost childhood book feel
this is so unique and alive. its eery how alive they look, truly. amazing work. sidenote, reminds me a tiny bit of video game legend little big planet cuz if im not tripping they had these cardboard people that moved kinda like that

I've seen so many good animatics/PMVs/etc and have a bad habit of not commenting, but I HAVE to say that I love everything about how this looks. The style and designs are so crisp, clearly related but still distinct and realistic. The combo of simpler bgs and the use of the PMV style for larger actions but animating the smaller touches like expressions, ear twitches and breathing really adds life to the movements and brings focus to the character interactions/emotions. Well done, you should be proud!

Babies ;(( I really love how close Pine and Thorn are as kittens, and how Thornsloe projects their relationship on his friendship with Hoarchaser. Pine looks so betrayed and hurt in the end, too! This also explains why Thornsloe would wish to leave the clan for barn cats - not only were they in the middle in clan war, both siblings had to take on duties far too young! I wonder if Thornsloe got his 'full' name in the clan, to make him full-fledged medicine cat, even though he was still way too young.
I love people who delve into my little stories, thank you very much :( I'm also glad that the story is more or less being read, I AM SO EXCITED Yes, Thorn received his full name in clan when he was barely 10 moons old. He already came to the barn as a fully trained medicine cat. Hoar, by the way, ran into the barn with 7 moons. So they are still just kits
