I feel like there are two bosses in the story of similar (albeit slightly lower) difficulty: Demyx and Xaldin. They both punish mashing just as much as Roxas does and force you to adapt.
I love how she calmly explains the fight and how to deal with Roxas’s attacks and then here 5:54 she’s like, “Yeah, I’m not gonna lie, this move sucks.”
I just beat him unexpectedly under 5 tries thanks to this video on critical mode. I didn't pay attention to his hp bar because I wasn't expecting to win, I only wanted to get used to his tells. Did everything according to the information you gave and I sealed his keyblade and wailed on him then I was surprised that the fight had already ended lol. You have earned my sub, good sir.
Finally someone that admits that the keyblade spinning attack is straight up bs,it feels impossible to defend against and at level 1 it means you automatically die
Two things: 1. This guide helped me so much in beating Roxas, so thank you. 2. I would recommend using the dual keyblades to get as much damage as you can before he takes them back. Air combos actually work well with it, as Roxas can't do that dive attack without them, and the lasers do like no damage. By doing that, I was able to make it through without seeing the D.U.M.B attack once.
Limit Form combos work extremely well with it too, especially if you pop him up into the air immediately after taking them by Dodge Rolling into him and activating Limit Form. I moreso suggested avoiding attacking simply because it's hard to get good combos in without eating damage from stray lasers, but you're definitely right that the Keyblades really do add on to your damage output (as shown here ruclips.net/video/gGsSyFVT5BU/видео.html).
@@kingki1185 The combination of the Keyblades and Limit Form's raw damage output, along with Decisive Pumpkin's Combo Boost. It's really quite insane, and that's only at LV1. Ofc, at 99 it's much higher, especially since you get another Combo Boost via level up.

For Armor, if you really need it, you can make Ribbons at this point. Your supply of Mythril Crystals is limited at this point, but everything else can be farmed (Orichalcum from Bulky Vendors, Dense Stones from Snipers which can be found at LoD Summit, Dense Shards from Dragoons in Beast’s Castle, and Serenity Gems, though difficult, can be farmed from the Mad Rides in the Cavern of Remembrance). All you need are a max of 4. Energy Gems from Agrabah (Fortunetellers or Emerald Blues, both which can be found in the Valley of Stone) are also highly recommended.
God fucking dammit the stupid orb attack was what was walling me. Finding out you just have to walk "the correct way" instead dodge around, and first trying him after that is upsetting.
Thank you so much dude. I took a long break from the game because I got so mad at this fight. Now that I understand it, the attempt I beat the boss on was very easy. I came back to try again after months because I loved the series and wanted to continue.
Thank you! Took a few attempts, but with the abuse of Trinity Limit, Auto Limit, and a well-timed reaction command with Roxas' keyblades, I actually took him down on my 5th try, 3rd try using your method.
Here's some important tips - ALWAYS reflect at the beginning. Like do it fast enough so that he can't strike back and combo him into oblivion after, dodge the spinning attack right before he goes into the spin position - When he's doing his attacks just go as far away as possible until he activates "The End". Then you wanna avoid that with your D-Pad. - Dodge roll through attack where he shoots orbs and changes the sky. -Block like your life depends on it when he dies the laser attacks and use potions either slightly before or after you combo him. If you have any questions just ask them in the replies to this comment
Thank you so much after watching this video I beat him first try. The running on the edges for the balls and the pause method was the most helpful thing so far. I couldn’t have beaten him without this video thank you!!!!
When Roxas runs up to you, try to quick run away. He usually starts up his ground combo, but that first swing is a feint. The best time to quick run. It might be devastating up close, but it’s comedically ineffective when you quick run out of the way at the right time. He’ll just attack the air until the final hit. The last hit is accurate but predictable. Blocking that final hit will leave him vulnerable for punishment. But at a certain point, he will do a leaping attack for revenge. If you can anticipate it, desperations aside, it’s cake.
Another tip even tho it’s late, after the command prompt where you have to hit “the end”, immediately go into limit form and start spamming (but also dodging and blocking so u don’t lose your form from too many hits and end up dying). I did this twice in one fight and combined with the tips in the video, some of them I didn’t have to use because the fight was pretty short
This fight is still too hard for me to beat I’m just like getting overwhelmed by his attacks and I can’t seem to block his attacks after I get done with my combo
just rely on using the trinity limit he said. after that u could use limit break to refill mp. and hit him with some raves. or really save the limit form incase you fly into the low hp. sure roxas is tough. but u got this man :D just watch a few videos. take a break. and eventually u will get it.

one note he can only force the RC while you are on the ground and dodge roll is considered a grounded option so if you dont wanna deal with the lazers you can dodge the RC by jumping and using air dodge

No, that's the general experience. The limit moves are incredibly useful against him. Just using it to fill mp is a waste. Ars will chunk his hp bar and give you a shitload of I-frames. Well timed strike raid or sonic rave can both be useful in certain situations and again give tons of I-frames. And Infinity is just a badass way to finish him. Using it as a panic button to knock him in the air and regain hp/mp can be great, but there is no reason not to use the abilities when the option is available.
You have no reason to do that, Cure is unneeded because Limit instantly heals you, and unneeded again because Limits heal HP on hit(even on invincible targets, its silly but true), Reflect is very nice to have, but in terms of time and damage just blasting two or three Arcanums will vastly shorten the fight, which is worth a lot more than the Reflects will give as all the things one truly fears are blockable or easily rolled, even the lasers aren't that dangerous, if you're in a position to consciously use Reflect, you can just as easily dodge or block the attacks, Roxas only has the lasers for unblockables, and they don't actually make most of his attacks more dangerous, because Roxas hits hard enough anyway, and they do rather low damage by comparison, Hurricane Dive can be blocked reliably as a revenge(and is very telegraphed when done raw, giving an easy roll), as long as you don't move, Combo's lasers are very specifically spaced to only hit you if you try and run rather than block, and uhh, just don't stand so close to him when he's actively on the move for the Vicinity Break lasers DUMB is still DUMB and the lasers really don't make it worse because its stupidly fast as-is Reflect gives you damage chances, but its not so needed for safety that you should forsake the sheer damage potential Limit Form grants, Limit Form also has like 3 MP Rages attached so if you get hit by anything during it, such as a stray laser, that converts into another Limit worth of MP
@@syrelian while everything you said is true, not everyone knows the game backwards and forward or has spent endless hours grinding out the bosses. For people that aren't like you or me, these bosses are brutal. Try to remember your first encounter with Roxas. I guess you could be an exception, but I know when I first fought him I could hardly fathom ever overcoming that challenge. Just because it's not that hard once you know all his combos and patterns, doesn't mean it's not hard. The KH community seems to forget that not everyone is a huge KH nerd like some of us, and to casual players the end game of KH2FM is fuckin brutal.
@@hyboirds1536 There's a reason I listed actual answers to the problems, but also the core point was that if you have the awareness to hit reflect, you're in a situation where you can just block or dodge on the same reaction timing(or you're airborne which is a whole other mess, but Aerial Dodge does in fact protect you), Reflect is very useful and good, but its not giving you opportunities that don't already exist most of the time in this fight, ergo focusing on offense presents a greater reward, especially because offense means spending less time in the fight which means less attacks to defend against Like, Final Xemnas? Reflect offers you tons of damage chances you don't normally get because you can mix it into the Reversal Chain, and it's reach lets you hit Xemnas during many of his laser sequences where he sits at just outside arms length, Reflect is huge and Limit Form's value is also heavily reduced by how often Xemnas refuses to sit at ground level for Arcanum, Roxas doesn't have the same caveats of spacing, and spamming Reflect more doesn't help if you're using it blindly anyway(Sonic Blade being invuln however does), if Riku wasn't so damn tanky and good at healing blowing Drive on a heal would be very good in Xemnas, and the MP restore is still valuable
I only like the art.
annoying thing is it sends u back so u need to run all the way up to him

The limit moves are incredibly useful against him. Just using it to fill mp is a waste. Ars will chunk his hp bar and give you a shitload of I-frames. Well timed strike raid or sonic rave can both be useful in certain situations and again give tons of I-frames. And Infinity is just a badass way to finish him.
Using it as a panic button to knock him in the air and regain hp/mp can be great, but there is no reason not to use the abilities when the option is available.
You have no reason to do that, Cure is unneeded because Limit instantly heals you, and unneeded again because Limits heal HP on hit(even on invincible targets, its silly but true), Reflect is very nice to have, but in terms of time and damage just blasting two or three Arcanums will vastly shorten the fight, which is worth a lot more than the Reflects will give as all the things one truly fears are blockable or easily rolled, even the lasers aren't that dangerous, if you're in a position to consciously use Reflect, you can just as easily dodge or block the attacks, Roxas only has the lasers for unblockables, and they don't actually make most of his attacks more dangerous, because Roxas hits hard enough anyway, and they do rather low damage by comparison, Hurricane Dive can be blocked reliably as a revenge(and is very telegraphed when done raw, giving an easy roll), as long as you don't move, Combo's lasers are very specifically spaced to only hit you if you try and run rather than block, and uhh, just don't stand so close to him when he's actively on the move for the Vicinity Break lasers
DUMB is still DUMB and the lasers really don't make it worse because its stupidly fast as-is
Reflect gives you damage chances, but its not so needed for safety that you should forsake the sheer damage potential Limit Form grants, Limit Form also has like 3 MP Rages attached so if you get hit by anything during it, such as a stray laser, that converts into another Limit worth of MP
@@hyboirds1536 There's a reason I listed actual answers to the problems, but also the core point was that if you have the awareness to hit reflect, you're in a situation where you can just block or dodge on the same reaction timing(or you're airborne which is a whole other mess, but Aerial Dodge does in fact protect you), Reflect is very useful and good, but its not giving you opportunities that don't already exist most of the time in this fight, ergo focusing on offense presents a greater reward, especially because offense means spending less time in the fight which means less attacks to defend against
Like, Final Xemnas?
I CANNIT TELL YOU HIW LONG JT TOOK ME TO DEFEAT HIM I finally did it with just guarding and using limit after stealing the key blades 😅
Ngl. I’m fighting him in now. And have been stuck fighting him for 6 months
I’ve been stuck on him for 2 years now
