I just mean that making the satchel purchasable with regular money as Marston makes the grind for 18-20 animal pelts as Arthur a total waste of time. Either make it only purchasable with cash for both characters, or only make them craftable for both characters. That’s all I’m saying.

Just on my way to hunting the deer and cougar pelts for the Legend of the East satchel and I'm still on chapter two, 20% of the story done but 45.5% of total game.
@@londonfog6654 Some of them can be damn hard to find lol. I've sunk in countless hours hunting them down and I find using poison arrows to be effective as long as you get to the animal quickly and finish it off with a knife. Happy hunting!
I just finished all challenges and didn't know that the legend od the east outfit automatically adds to you wardrobe, but when I was trying to find it I got this charming surprise, 99 from all items at a very cheap price. NICE
For me it's still worth it because I do all of the other hunting stuff you can do and it's a great help although in my next playthrough I'm gonna do all the hunting stuff before the satchel
I've just recently started the game even though I've had it since it came out and I learned a whole lot. I'm just now on chapter 3 and if I went back and started the game over or it sort of makes me want to start the game over because what I learned along the way. One thing is you can get almost everything you need in New Hanover in the heartlands you can find deer bison raccoon squirrels rabbits books pronghorns badger goats muskrat fox I mean the only thing you really need to go out of your way for is the cougar pill and you can get that it the trapper right where it says West grizzlies to the far side of the map just under where it says Big valley when you leave the trapper a cougar, bear or wolves will come after you every time it is a given. And to get the panther skin go to rhodes and right buy old Henry Fen you will find the panther it took me a day to get him at first he caught me off guard and killed me instantly. The second time it took two arrows to kill him so the skin was not imperfect condition. Then he would not spawn. Finally I went and got a deer through it on the back of my horse and got some bait and right there by the rock through the deer down along with some bait and hid behind the rock across the street and here come the boar and that is when you know the panther is nearby. It wasn't 15 seconds later and here he came I got my perfect panther pelt. Now I just need the badger, the beaver, and the iguana. I already have everything I need to make my legend of the East satchel but of course you have to unlock all the other ones first SMH to be honest it's really not hard to get all of the skins it's hard to get them in perfect condition. If I had to do it all over again and I think I'm going to start playing another game along with the game I'm playing but I will make sure I use my bow and arrow more I will make sure that I craft arrows a lot of people don't even know you can do that. I will also get the varmint rifle a lot sooner it will make things a lot easier. You can find just about every animal you need right there by your camp well not right by your camp but your camp is not far from the majority of the animals you need you just have to make sure that you get the perfect skins well pelts. Another thing that was a big game changer for me was I also learned to go up to where the alligators are you can go up by Van Horn and work your way down to rhodes or vice versa. But if you go down to the bottom of the map south of Rhodes there is also a lot of alligator there and I learned that is the best thing to kill to get your big game meet. They are sleeping just about all the time you can walk right up to a three-star alligator and shoot him in the head with a arrow walk away with a perfect skin and five big game meat. I would then set up camp cook the meat and kill another gator usually I would collect the herbs I needed along the way The mint, thyme an oregano then I would break out the camp again cook my food and back out to hunt. That's one thing that's very important is to have enough food to keep your health stamina and deadeye at its Max at all time. It wasn't nothing to get 40 pieces of big game meet and to be honest I think all but about 10 pieces of that came from alligator. I mean they are just suckers sitting there asleep not to mention all the snapping turtles and snake you can get. I have maxed out just about all of my food I also made sure I got the mature venison meat and I think I maxed it out with the bison. They are easy to kill and you can get perfect skins off of them as well and you can always find them in the same spot right there in new Hanover in the heartlands area. Today I am off to find the badger the beaver and the iguana the iguana should be just right by my camp on that Island the beaver you would think with all of the swamps and water and lakes they would be easy you don't see them that often or I haven't in the badger I think of only seen maybe three of them the whole time I've been playing the game. But I definitely want to play the game again and I haven't even finished it there's so many things I would do different. And like right by your first camp you make it to that little burnt downtown limpany there is a piece of gold right there in the sheriff's station I mean that is a big help when you first start the game you get to get you some clothes a good satchel whatever you need some guns ammo. There's still big pieces of the map I don't even have unlocked I mean it's like this map goes on forever past blackwater I have none of that unlocked yet I did go up north and that was to the grizzlies West and that was to get the white horse which is a pain in the ass very vocal does not like to get dirty and has a appetite out of this world maybe I was just used to my other horse the breed it was. But she can be a pain maybe it's just me I don't ride her hard but if she gets too dirty she will not shut up and she does not want to really listen. It affects her health and everything I could not get over that and all of my other horses have never said underweight and with her you have to feed her way more often and I thought I fed my horses a lot not according to her because she was malnourished will not malnourished but underweight I've started every time I get on her I feed her and brush her because if not you're going to have to listen to her the whole time you're riding her lol
Yo my dudes I got an awesome idea. You get legend of the east satchel and outfit on Arthur and save before the last mission. Then you complete the epilogue and save John wearing the outfit. Boom both John and Arthur have the best stuff and you can always switch between them.
I'd much rather hunt all the animals for the perfect pelts than just pay for it. It only takes a couple of hours max to get all the pelts for every satchel including the Legend of the East (increases carrying capacity to 99 for most items) much more satisfying lol
You can't do this as Arthur. I am in Chapter 3. I just got the Legend of the East satchel the hard way, and I'm looking forward to using it throughout the rest of the story.

You’re not even in the US and then when you’re back your stats are permanently fucked until you die and a lot of stuff is different. You can, but you have to do it the hard way. Btw, I think it's the better way to do it because you can get it in chapter 2. That way, you have the entire rest of the game to play with it. Plus, this uncovers pretty much all of the pre-epilogue map.
When I found this at the end of the game in one of my 1st run of the game I got pissed because for Arthur I had like 15k and when I found out I could craft it at camp on my 2nd run of the game I was like what was the point of that if I could just buy it because I obviously had the money

You can, but you have to do it the hard way. Btw, I think it's the better way to do it because you can get it in chapter 2. That way, you have the entire rest of the game to play with it. Plus, this uncovers pretty much all of the pre-epilogue map.

When I found this at the end of the game in one of my 1st run of the game I got pissed because for Arthur I had like 15k and when I found out I could craft it at camp on my 2nd run of the game I was like what was the point of that if I could just buy it because I obviously had the money

im at van horn fence..the satchels arnt listed...wtf,but i finaly got all pelts for legend of east satchel.

@@carlcasper4805 I just bought the satchels and I'm in Epilogue 2, and I bought them from the fence at Emerald Ranch. I guess you could say that I've beaten the regular part of the game and that's what you meant.
I have the other satchels and the correct pelts and all the scout campfire upgrades but I still can’t craft materials satchel please tell me how to fix this glitch. I’ve reloaded my game multiple times and it still isn’t fixed. Please, help.
