    The time and commitment an NFL QB gives is no different than how a filmmaker or musician works. Many musical artists will spend weeks on end just living in a studio, then spend a couple months "off" and rehearsing. Then they go on tour for 2 to 3 months straight, followed by a few months off. Filmmakers and actors will spend months to prepare for a project, 3 to 6 months shooting a project, then another 2 months in post production or marketing. Then they take 6 months to a year off.
    I can tell you from watching McCarthy for years at Michigan and before - he's going to eat, sleep, breath, inject football into his veins during those work periods and still work on personal growth during his "off" time. He's highly intelligent and highly motivated. The contract thing is totally his agent sticking up for him as a 1st round QB. He's not concerned about money like that.

    • @hugeboi3669
      @hugeboi3669 3 месяца назад

      Very bad answer you mean. Mullens threw for a record number of yards with Shanahan. Dobbs was successful when he started running and slowed down when he executed KOC's playbook. KOC's QB "developer" resume includes: Manziel, Haskins, Goff (who was so bad in 2020 that they traded them away). He's 0 for 3 on developing QBs so far

    • @vincentthomas1967
      @vincentthomas1967 3 месяца назад

      Dude you're kidding... Kirk is a tangible reference... Dobbs was street fodder, and Manziel was a partying druggie... and Goff will tell you he actually shined in Detroit partly because what he learned from KOC...compare real QBs... this stint will tell the tell

    • @murasakiirono
      @murasakiirono 3 месяца назад

      @@hugeboi3669 Regarding Dobbs I agree with you - partially. He seemed to drown in the moment when he had to execute the playbook - but I still haven't forgotten how happy KOC was in the games before when Dobbs played his own chaotic thing. So no, I don't think he forced him too much. What I think though is: never forget your opponents! The coaches of the other teams did as well watch those games, how Dobbs plays and figured out how to stop him, and I would bet some coins that they were able to analyze the situation way better than me.
      Regarding the rest, I think KOC made Cousins much better, but anyways, Darnold will show us finally what KOC can really do. And Atlanta what Kirk can do with them... Cheers man!

Fans have to fork out hundreds per game to go watch them play. Most of whom will never see that kind of money in their lifetimes. Fans deserve players to be all in.

    Again people need to consider the human condition. Nobody in the planet is motivated by the abstract. So thinking that your player is going to play with best so that some team, somewhere might, sign into a contract of some length, for some amount of money with some guarantees. It's stupidity what you do is you sign into a three-year contract low base salary but lots of potential bonus money if he's playing well. Even if he's playing reasonable still alone to achieve that overall 18 to 20 million deal like like the Lions dip. It's really stupid to have somebody in a 1-year contract and then you have nothing. I doubt, Sam darnold would have refused to contract that could have paid him $10 million the first year up to 20 million the second year and up to 25 or 30 million or third year. And make some of the bonuses very achievable and some are stretch so they does his absolute best!

    Your over analysis of Kirk taking Tues off is beyond rediculous. Guaranteed Kirk puts in 80 hours a week despite taking Tues off..rehabbing, listening to plays in the car in addition to everything else..admittedly there are things to criticize about Kirk, but his dedication? Really? He is the poster child for overachiever. If your coverage of Kirk was even somewhat fair it would be one thing…it’s not that you cover him, it’s the frequency and it’s all 100% negative clickbait. Btw - I don’t care how much Kirk is paid, he’ll never get these years back with his young kids.
    You rip Kirk for Tues but funny how you guys were totally cool Gobert taking a playoff game off for the birth of his child. Rudy’s kid will never have any memory of him being there and rest assured his wife gets the best medical attention money can buy.
    Move on from Kirk. It’s beyond rediculous. You were mostly wrong about him all along..take the L and move on. 🤡
    Btw - you guys talk as though this rookie qb is a sure thing at qb. Makes me wonder if you even watch football..the reality is darnold has as good, maybe a better chance of being the long term starter..that is the reality. He’s only 26, 3rd overall pick. Jj will spend 2024 working on his footwork.

    Kirk was 17-8 with KoC as coach..It was a good fit for both which is why the Vikings made a an unforced error creating a crisis at the games most important position.
    Pump the breaks on KoC, there are red flags..running game, screen game, defense in year 1 was not professional…should have dismissed Donatell mid season, especially considering they had a coach on staff that was interviewed to be the next coordinator.
    I need to see him correct these red flags and see how he does without cousins before I extend.

      If the NFL season went as long as the other sport seasons, then it would be perfectly okay for a QB to spend a day with their family. All people are asking is that a QB does their job for the average of 5 months that they work each each year, and get millions of dollars for. Work-life balance is perfectly okay when you work for more than 5 months per year.
