Idk man he inherited a pretty good offense and a good QB. His play calling and lack of creativity in the run game is suspect. The verdict is still out on KOC.
Under the KOC regime we will win maybe 2 gut says one playoff win. When he started Dobbs and didn't change the game plan you could see he's in over his head, I've never been for kirk but having a veteran run his offense looked good

He's controllable, was a pos QB himself bad at time management. Had 4 other coaching jobs b4 the Offensive Coordinator for the Rams and oh they won a Superbowl to be honest I'm wondering how he got this job with the Vikings was he a hot commodity or just a coach that was available I'll take the latter one
His offensive plays do nothing for me 8 yard pass plays what a joke. I look at Nick Sirianni and the Eagles and the plays they run with motion galore or Dan Campbell with the Lions hard nosed no bullshit coach that was a player and a way better coach than O'Connell I'd rather have and be talking extension about

These are my thoughts. When change coaches and GM’s like you change your
underwear the outcome will always be a disaster.
When you hire a head coach with no head coaching experience things usually turn out bad. Bud Grant and Dennis Green only coaches we have with prior head coaching experience.. that's the reason they're the two most successful coaches in Viking history

Exactly! What's the point of resigning a guy before you need to? You might as well wait as long as possible so you can have as many data points and information as you can gather, BEFORE you make that decision.

Why re-sign him now? As we found out he didn't do much as OC. He will not run the ball. Constantly gets out coached during the game in adjustments. His teams also seem to play soft. Fumble problem last year clear sign of coaching. He has a lot to prove to me

I agree that McCarthy should get a full year to study, refine his mechanics, and pump enough iron to toughen up his whole body. That little bit of extra muscle will help protect him from a season full of hits.

No. Wait until the 2026 offseason when his contract expires unless we make it to the NFCC this season. He hasn’t shown enough to warrant an extension this offseason.
