ProMag Archangel AA556R: just completed the conversion, did not have to sand down the sides of the receiver for the mag to fit. The rear top guard threads {butt stock & top receiver} was already stripped from the factory, not a big deal. replacing the mag release is option, if you have sausage fingers, you might want to do this. I completed this conversion in about 30 min, pretty darn easy. This video helped a lot, got me started, that's all I needed. The front sight was a breeze to tap out, people who complain about it being difficult, never worked on a weapon, tap a little harder! you wont hurt it. I see a lot of people knocked the title of the video, but look at the instructions sent, you'll not care! thank you for the great video
I guess i would put the flashlight on the side rails then move the bipod all the way to the front so the legs fold foreward over the barrel so you can actually get a good grip on the rifle.
I'm looking into buying a 10/22 and I wanted to see how easy it would to change out a stock. You made it look easy even for a guy who doesn't shoot often

Always wanted an archangel kit for my 10/22 but it's not available in my country, and my country's import laws regulates any firearms and accessories imports, so it's kinda impossible to but directly online, managed to buy a tapco conversion kit locally for an expensive amount and modified it. Used my 10/22 for ipsc mini-rifle competitions but the constant jamming problem despite being squeeky clean just became a really big issue especially in timed competitions so I bought an S&W M&P 15-22 for competition shooting. I'm now trying to sell my 10/22 because my country's laws require me to renew firearm registration every 4 years which costs a lot of money since I have multiple firearms, but i'm still hesitant to let go of my 10/22.
Man for the money I think I’m going to go with the GR22 Chassis for my sons 10/22. It’s only $50 bucks and looks so much nicer (in my opinion) and it goes together without any special attention to anything.
Cool kit, but you definitely need help with the add ons, the stuff you put on there will be spotted a mile away, as crap. Get a better light laser, so you don't have to put the bipods on backwards. The rifle does look pretty cool with the new stock.👍
If they had this stock when i was a kid it wouldnt have ever left my side, way cool factor, although i altered mine, i also didnt like the fake flash hider so i cut the flashhider part off so the rear part w/rail/lug is 2.650" long & used a steel muzzle brk / flashhider, i added an extra setscrew to the flashhider & shimmed it to fit better then shimmed the rear part of the bayo lug/rail to fit bbl better then added a long setscrew thru the center web of the rail on top. The length of the bayo lug part makes the bayo bbl ring fit the steel muzzle brk in just the right place. The plastic bayo is very pointy & tough. A real bayo is to long handled to fit (i tried) Mine has a 22cal bul. Drop compensating scope, 45° backup sights, an AR sling, bypod & steel flash hider / muzzle brk. I Still need a recoil pad to make it a little longer thou. The only thing they could have done better was the bayo bbl hole is way to big (sloppy fit) this was a very fun project overall. I realy like it a lot. I also quit using any aftremarket mags, i just use ruger bmx mags & it just doesnt jam at all anymore, just purrs like a kitten in heat.😊
It's pretty cool. One of these, anda .223 AR platform with the .22 LR conversion kit. Then ya grab your Hi Point C9 and the 95 TS 9 mm. You're good to go.. Two calibers, 9mm and .22 ya have ammo for 4 different weapons. A 9mm ad 22 pistol, a Carrbiine and a rifle. How cool is that?
how does the Archangel conversion compare to the ATI conversion in quality and ergonomics. I have an ATI scorpion but to be honest was surprised at how heavy it ends up being even without jewelry ..... also have a factory stainless with the International gray laminated stock (runs to the end of barrel) that I absolutely love
On the original ruger, the barrel rests on the whole length of the stock, and is held down tight by the barrel band. On the archangel the lock down screw is the only thing that holds the barrel/mechanism to the polymer stock. How does this affect accuracy of the rifle, especially on longer ranges?
why do ppl bash the 22 LR leave it alone it will get the job done weither killing rodents or killing a person. it may not hit hard or blow a big fucking hole in someone.
Nice rifle conversion. Does the kit allow for a rail to be mounted on the side of the handguard?? I would prefer my light/laser on the side allowing the bipod to go right forward on the bottom rail and to fold forward under the barrel. I think I would prefer a slightly shorter bull barrel threaded for a muzzle device or suppressor too. BUT it is a really nice conversion kit for a real nice, fun, small game capable rifle.
Where can I get the Lock and barrel for a 10/22 naked ? I don't want to buy a whole rifle just to strip it down and have the old wooden body laying around uselessly.
Good video, nice kit. Unlike you I purposely bought a cheap 1022 with a blued barrel to keep the appearance of an all black gun. I have a few with stainless barrels including the takedown. Nice rifles

I agree that the fake flash suppressor and polymer bayonet are bogus. My 10-22 is stainless as well, and I was unsure if I wanted to waste money on this kit. But I like the way you utilized the important parts, and think that looks really good and functional. This will be a cost effective way for me to shoot, without having to spend just as much, if not more to swap my bolt carrier back and forth on my AR. Thanks.
