This is very good. I like your technique better than lars andersons. Because with all arrows between the fingers it is quite hard to run and jump. Nice channel

yo man, first off, I found your video to be interesting and impressive. As a hunter and archery enthusiast, I got no problem watching a 9 min 16 sec video of what sounds like an Eastern European guy running around a yard shooting bows and arrows. However I can also see where you're coming from by thinking 'shit how can I capture the magic and dynamism of what I'm doing in real time on camera?' The quick answer is you need some buddies to focus on filming, the camera angles, the editing, and so all you are focussing on is the running archery. looks to me like you are still for the most part a one man show, that makes it super fuckin tough to do everything at once and still deliver consumers dynamic footage. while it is an uphill battle I thought I'd take some time while I take my afternoon post lunch shit to answer your question. For simplicity's sake, I'll quote you and respond to each of the questions you posed to the viewer. *side-note: I am an idiot living in the mountains that can barely turn on a computer, so my advice could suck.
"there is just one thing that bothers me. it's that I still haven't found a way to record running archery so that it looks that as dynamic as it does in real life"
Yes, I agree. While myself and a select few people can enjoy and appreciate what you're doing, these vids aren't exactly blowing up the internet. Two reasons, 1 as stated above, I think you're trying to do too much 2 most human beings don't practice archery and the ones that do either shoot compound or do static medditeranean draw on the left side of the bow and have no idea how hard it is to run, jump and shooting on the right side of the bow. Well, that feeds in to the second point you make:
"when I edit it, it looks like 1) I run slow 2) it's nothing special anyone can do this"
Agreed. So use a lot of slow motion! switching from slow motion to normal speed makes you look faster. more low angle shots looking up. like the camera is a wounded guy looking up at you running and shooting past him. I want to see in slow motion your transfer of an arrow from bow hand to knocked on the string. then go back to normal speed. let's have a slow motion shot of a camera mounted right next to a target you're shooting at, if you're confident you won't accidentally skewer it. try filming from the arrows perspective, the targets perspective and incorporating it with the current perspectives you are already filming from.
Also, you are running slow, for a course like this wear cleats or go barefoot, your turning radius and pivot points can be a lot tighter. I bet you're pretty fast and have decent endurance, but make this course a sprint, or try to.
Tactically speaking, this course simulates an archer who is fucked, up shit creek without a paddle, which is why I think it's awesome. An archer who has to do everything that you just did I would guess is in some sort of an ambush reaction situation. Sprinting forward and shooting to confront the threat and then having to run away from and escape for self preservation. So explain this, you'd only have to jump turn and shoot in one motion if you're running away from something more deadly than you, and your jumping over a log, a fallen comrade, an enemy and by not jumping you'd trip and fall and probably die. So make something you have to jump over that your not allowed to touch. simulate situations where you do fall and then have to quickly get up and return fire.
When I was in the Marines ate OCS my favorite thing was the obstacle course, look RUclips videos of the Marine O course and play around with how you might be able to incorporate some of the obstacles.
I like what youre doing and think it's impressive. I hope some of what I wrote here is helpful. All the best!

so cool!! for your video, the camera needs to move with you to look more dynamic. if the background stays still then your movement makes smaller changes in the frame. thats why your gopro POV emphasizes the movement. maybe rig the cameras on a moving track/swinging from a hang?

Great video! The various camera angles and shots make clear how demanding the parcour is! I enjoy your videos a lot!
I‘m still learning to improve my accuracy at standing archery, so running archery is next level!
Very well done, Charlie! Keep on running! ☺️👍

Multiple runs from various angles, pretty good synchornization of music and shots, AND really cool tricks while being deadly accurate? Well I thought we still had half a year till Christmas!

I think it could be either posture or camera angle, I can feel the dynamic and intensity with the Gopro but not with the overview camera, so maybe putting the camera closer to you could work?
Also Using a different, more aggressive running posture or shooting posture can improve the video without running full-speed, maybe you can take a look at some action movies running scene and recreate it?
With that being said, I love your video as it is, it's amazing you can hit that grouping while on the move.

I know what you mean :) Thanks for your ideas. I look often to action movies so I can learn and understand how they edit it. And it's about fast cuts, great pace with music and effect. need to work on that :)

You gotta speed up the video while your running then go normal speed while shooting the speed again when you sprint. Make it look as fast as it feels when you do it.
