I love how well done she is too, this is one of the most accurate depictions of a gorgon, aside from the missing wings, most movies portray Medusa to have a snakelike body which is so inaccurate
With the new show that came out, I would like to say that I enjoy both versions of medusa. I will always love Uma Thurman‘s interpretation, and the writing around her, but I also adore how actress Jessica Parker Kennedy conveyed the deep wounds of what has happened to her as a survivor. Especially taking the writing in that direction to the secondary roots of her mythos, and the violence that was against her.
Her story is pretty sad, she was a very beautiful women who worked in Athena temple. Poseidon took an interest in her, but she refused her advance. Poseidon forced herself on her in the temple. After the act, Athena was so furious, she punished her to be transformed into a monster so no other man would raped her. She exiled herself, but many came to attempt to kill her. It hits differently when she says "Son of Poseidon" saying this to the offspring of man who was the catalyst of her being transformed into this.

Uma Thurman is a dam.legend she played same major. Iconic roles and good thing she toke these jobs to.poision ivy. I also found out recently 🤣 and when I found out I was like "Ah, now I understand why that Medusa had such a hypnotic look and I wasn't afraid to look at her" (normally in other movies they are so horrible that they traumatize me and I can't see their faces).
She didn't "date" his father. She was a Priestess of Athena who was forcefully taken by Poseidon at Athena's temple. And because Athena could not punish Poseidon(they had a major rivalry) she foolishly punished Medusa and turned her into a Gorgon. I know they like to tweak stories to fit movies but what they did to Medusa was supposed to be a tragedy inflicted by the Gods. Not some angry ex lover.

It would be great if we get a what if in the movie the villians won like for medusa if she suffocated grover by haveing statues fall on him and had her snakes open anabeths eyes for her and kissed percy witch made him open his eyes like in this scene 2:44 she could have forced him to kiss her

With the new show that came out, I would like to say that I enjoy both versions of medusa. I will always love Uma Thurman‘s interpretation, and the writing around her, but I also adore how actress Jessica Parker Kennedy conveyed the deep wounds of what has happened to her as a survivor. Especially taking the writing in that direction to the secondary roots of her mythos, and the violence that was against her.

Her story is pretty sad, she was a very beautiful women who worked in Athena temple. Poseidon took an interest in her, but she refused her advance. Poseidon forced herself on her in the temple. After the act, Athena was so furious, she punished her to be transformed into a monster so no other man would raped her. She exiled herself, but many came to attempt to kill her. It hits differently when she says "Son of Poseidon" saying this to the offspring of man who was the catalyst of her being transformed into this.

Never thought I’d be saying it but…this might just be the most accurate version we’ve ever gotten of the original Greek Medusa.
She didn't "date" his father. She was a Priestess of Athena who was forcefully taken by Poseidon at Athena's temple. And because Athena could not punish Poseidon(they had a major rivalry) she foolishly punished Medusa and turned her into a Gorgon. I know they like to tweak stories to fit movies but what they did to Medusa was supposed to be a tragedy inflicted by the Gods. Not some angry ex lover.

But, if my blindfold falls slightly, I would groan, "(Gasps) wha-? Why?! (Growls) Stupid blindfold!" AnnaBeth would tell me, "Don't open your eyes!" I would shut my eyes, and she'll petrify my body and leave my head moving, and when she's out of my sight, I would scream, "(Screams) I can't move!" Grover would arrive at the scene and ask me, "Caleb, are you okay?" I'll reply, "Yeah, I'm fine." He'll ask me, "What happened?" I'll explain, "Medusa did this to me. She used her snake hair and her petrification ability to turn my body into stone and she left my head moving because she wouldn't want me to go anywhere, because I tried to use a blindfold in order to prevent myself from being turned into a statue but I didn't tie the blindfold tight enough!" Grover asked, "And that's how you ended up like that?" I'll reply, "Precisely, Grover. We have stop Medusa. And could I ask you a favor? Would you like to get me into the pickup truck and get me into the hotel in order to break the stone off my body, after we defeated her?" "Sure, why not?" Grover replied. A few minutes later, Grover got me into the pick up truck, "Ok, you need to wait here and stay in the truck, got it?" Grover asked. "Got it." I replied. After Medusa's defeated and the first pearl is found, we'll be at the hotel and Percy, AnnaBeth, and Grover would pick me up from the pickup truck and they'll break my body free by using the chisel. I'll be in relief and say, "Yes, I'm free." Percy will ask me, "Are you all right?" I'll reply, "I think so. Thanks for saving me, guys."
