Auto Focus Fixed? Samsung S20 Ultra Auto Focus Update.... Months Later

Samsung has released so many phones this year and recently launched a couple big time phones in the Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Note 20 series. All this has me asking, where is the S20 Ultra love? So I decided to do an update on the issue that basically ruined the Galaxy S20 Ultra experience for a lot of people; the auto focus. I put the phone a few scenarios that I believe most people experience when recording on their smartphone to see how the auto focus would handle it. Did it survive? Let's talk about it!

The December 2020 Samsung Android 11 update provided some substantial new features and improvements to many high end Samsung devices. At this time, we will be talking about the camera changes and improvements. Drastic improvements were made on the auto focus system. On the snapdragon variety, there is no autofocus lag in any modes, and the native camera app seems snappier and more responsive. Credit must be given to Samsung for finally updating the camera app and now the app competes with most of the advanced 3rd party apps that are floating around on the internet. I totally agree with you.

Thanks for this demo, the color saturation is an anemic as the Pixel series....apparently, if you want the typical color saturation of a Samsung phone, you have to get the 20 or 20+ -- they should have told people that before buying, it's a big change, not for the better, same with the crappy phase detection AF and macro shots now needing a minimum 10cm distance because of the shallow depth of field. Usually they add features to higher models, not make them different as you go up. My S7 is much better in every way, from size to no futzing with the camera to take great video and images.

I used to love my S8...I couldn't let go if it until getting the S20 Ultra. Now I'm in love all over again but this autofocus issue has been very disappointing, especially having every Galaxy S phone from the 1st to the 8th. Their camera always topped any other phones camera of its time

For me, the auto focus problems are still there but not nearly as bad and in many cases, it's not there. Appreciate the comment!

All my human object photo face looks like kpop with full make up amd filter and stuff. S20ultra camera sucks
