Don’t stress about not showing your face on camera! :) Just listening to you and watching little clips is wonderful, thank you for sharing bits of your life with us!
just this morning I was thinking something similar but didn’t even realize how cute it would be to match with the bag!! thank you for this reminder!! 🥺
Im not even into yarn work personally ( not for a lack of trying I'm not talented enough) but my goodness I'm so happy I found your account its so Wholesome and soothing
I love watching your videos! They're so cozy and calming. 💛 Maybe you could make a little knitting/crocheting tutorial for begginers this year? I would love that! I am especially interested in how do you attach all those squares together. Hope you're having a good day!
thank you!! I’m a little nervous because I’m not a very good teacher haha but I was thinking about making a small video about a project I think beginners could do, maybe at some point this year! thank you for having that faith in me 🥹💗 and I hope you’re having a great day too!! 💗💗💗
I think you should totally make the videos the way that is most comfortable for you. I've been thinking about getting on You Tube for my crochet stuff but I have the same issue. I really don't want to show my face. It's comforting to know that maybe I could and that would be okay! Also, I really love your project ideas! New subscriber for sure!
you absolutely could! I spend a lot of time beating myself up for not knowing the right way to do things like this, but I think whatever’s best for you is always the right way. I hope you’ll be able to make videos comfortably! 💗
I think a cream lining would be perfect; that way you don't have another colour coming in and distracting from your lovely work! I enjoyed knitting along to the vlog. I hope you're feeling better reallly soon!
I think so too! I was looking at my first bag a few minutes ago and it used a blue lining, but there were only three colors and blue was one of them. I don’t think I notice the lining when I look at the bag as a whole, but that’s probably since it blends in. a cream will bring it all together 😁 thank you very much!! 💗
You inspired me to do a mental health blanket. And I chose paintbox yarns for it. 😀 And we chose different color variants. I chose Melon Sorbet, Pine Green, Vintage Heather (dusty rose/lilac), Rich Teal and Misty Grey as a neutral.
I’m looking through the colors you chose and that pine green looks gorgeous! and the misty gray is beautiful!!! such a bright variation, like a beachy morning 💓
I definitely still love this vlog even though it doesn’t show your face!! ❣️ I definitely don’t want you to do something that brings you a ton of stress! For me it’s nice to have a blog that doesn’t show people’s faces because I hyper analyze people’s face sometimes (I think to make sure I’m acting appropriately) and having a vlog that doesn’t show them makes them even more relaxing to me. ❣️❣️
Gah! Yes, of course. Don't feel bad about making videos the way you like to! I love "faceless" content teehee Also your granny squares look so perfect! I guess that might come with practice and I only started crocheting a few weeks ago but everything you make looks so good 🥺🥺 The bag is looking great so far :))
thank you so much! 💗 it definitely comes with practice but if it makes you feel better, I think it’s also the yarn? something about cotton makes them look so ~crisp~ and nice and I feel like they’re so much more aligned compared to the first ones I tried making! but… that’s just my theory for now haha either way, every granny square is a work of art no matter what 😁💗
I listened to your vlog while crocheting and loved it :) I appreciate how open you are and whether you show your face or not doesn't really matter - what's important is that you are as comfortable as you can be :)
Thank you for a lovely video and your ideas, squares are beautiful, hope you can feel better, I have auto immune disease so totally understand about fatigue and managing tasks 😊🌺🧶x
I love making cow plushies, they're my best sellers (; a Lavender cow is the cutest!! So many people love the purples !! Michaels definitely doesn't stock very often or is pretty slow at it at least! Love crafts has such great sales and variety of yarn!!
There is a book that I've been thinking about getting - Chonky Amigurumi by Sarah Csiacsek- that might work with your new yarn. I like finding chonky ami patterns bc they make the most cuddly lovies.
Wow those yarns are beautiful colors!! If you want to make a more sturdy strap, you could always get into tablet weaving. You could even use those yarns to weave a chunky strap, it definitely wouldn't stretch out.
i actually think a black lining would work really well for the bag; it would be mostly hidden by the squares but do a great job of adding a contrast that would make all the colours, including the cream, really pop and go for that bright colourful look you're going for. if not a black, then maybe a navy or cool brown - it looks like you've got a lot of cool tones in the bag already, and i think a dark cool colour lining would work really well and make it an eye-catching piece. white and cream would go with the colours, but make it more pastel and possibly fade the colours out? it's up to you in the end, whether you want a more pastel bag or a really bright one, but i can't wait to see how it goes regardless!!
nikki! I adore your videos! they're so calming and make me feel healed :0) I don't usually leave comments, but I wanted to say that I love the videos you've been making, and wanted to say you don't have to show your face if you don't want to!!! I adore Megan's videos, so if this is what makes you most comfortable, I'm into it! I also definitely relate to wanting to dress in brighter colors esp since the things I like are all pastel and cute, but I feel like I always need to wear darker colors, haha. and also omg I love heart's blood (I read it like a decade ago lol) and have never seen anyone else who's read it??? it made me so happy to see! also, I've started watching knitting + crocheting videos because your vids inspired me to try despite my nervousness about it haha! :0)
thank you so much for the sweet comment!! 💗 oh my gosh YES darker colors are so comfortable and honestly, they go with everything. it’s hard to make that switch to brighter colors haha~ and I’m glad you liked heart’s blood because I haven’t seen anybody talk about it either and knowing a book is loved makes me want to read it more :’) I read one of her other books maybe the year before last (?) and loved the feeling it gave me, so I figured I’d give more of her a try! also!! I’m so glad you’re going to give it a try!!! 💗💗💗 it can be frustrating at first but definitely worth it in the end!
Hi Ann, love the bracelets and wips your so talented. The mandala yarn colors are beautiful if I won I'd choose 3 of the genie color. To answer your window question I prefer windows down usually, unless its extremely hot and humid then i crank the ac up. Thank you for the opportunity to win.
hi there, I think you may have commented this on the wrong video! I don’t want you to miss out on your giveaway chances, so I’m just letting you know! best of luck in the giveaway!! 💗💗💗
btw i’m guessing those paintbox cotton yarns are 50g, in which case you should have plenty leftovers to make something else with! i made a granny square tote bag with 18 squares and it used up about 200g
Ahh loved this video!! Made me want to crochet too. I get so confused at the yarn shop and then I end up not getting anything. The shopkeepers seem v judgy. What yarn would u suggest i ask for? Like any commonly used size? the brands sold here are different too. No "wool of the gang" and "lion brand". And is cotton better or acrylic? Which one is softer? I think i'll visit the shops again. this weekend maybe. Love your channel
ahh I know what you mean :( I’d look for a worsted weight size, it’s pretty easy to work with and you can many kinds of patterns with it! as for the type, it depends on your taste and what kind of project you’re making honestly. acrylic is pretty cheap and mostly what I can afford. I chose cotton for the project I worked on here because I wanted to make sure the bag wouldn’t stretch out too much like my acrylic bags did. if you go into the shop and feel comfortable talking to the shop owners, you can let them know what kind of project you’d like to make and have them show you their suggested yarns, and then you can feel them and see if you like them and want to work with them or not. basically, whatever makes you feel most comfortable! 💗💗💗
Don’t stress about not showing your face on camera! :) Just listening to you and watching little clips is wonderful, thank you for sharing bits of your life with us!
thank you so much!! 💗
I think a patch cardigan would look cute with the paint box yarns with a matching bag, iconic
just this morning I was thinking something similar but didn’t even realize how cute it would be to match with the bag!! thank you for this reminder!! 🥺
U WOULD MAKE THE BEST MOOMIN STOP
HE WOULD BE SO CUTEEEE 😭
Im not even into yarn work personally ( not for a lack of trying I'm not talented enough) but my goodness I'm so happy I found your account its so Wholesome and soothing
Those colors look so soft together...like Easter! Yup...lots of ends! lol!!
I love watching your videos! They're so cozy and calming. 💛

This clog was so calming, I watched it between my classes and now I want to crochet sooo bad
These little vlogs are the cuttest thing to knit to

You're vlogs are perfect
I love the way you do your vlogs. I love watching them while I'm journalling or crocheting - it keeps me company 😊
You definitely have a new subscriber in me. The vlog was so calming and nice to listen to while I crochet 😊
This was perfect, no face required!
I think a cream lining would be perfect; that way you don't have another colour coming in and distracting from your lovely work! I enjoyed knitting along to the vlog. I hope you're feeling better reallly soon!

I love the colors you chose!😍 also, I love the format of this vlog. You don’t need to show your face for me to enjoy a video by you!💖
thank you so much! 😭🫶🏼💗
I listen to many vlogs and watch later so I enjoy your vlogs either way. Love the LIFE snippets😍
As soon as you said Shinee, I hit subscribe ❤️❤️

@@withlove_nikki I like many groups, which is bad for my wallet 😆

I definitely still love this vlog even though it doesn’t show your face!! ❣️ I definitely don’t want you to do something that brings you a ton of stress!

omg I do the same thing with people’s faces!! I find myself imitating the expressions without thinking 😅
Gah! Yes, of course. Don't feel bad about making videos the way you like to! I love "faceless" content teehee

you’re too sweet!! thank you so much 💗🥰
What a cute yarn haul! The squares are so pretty. I know I'm commenting really late but I hope you're feeling better now.
thank you so much! I’m feeling better now thankfully 🥰💗
Omg, a crocheter who also likes SHINee ahahah, i approve of the color choice 💕

ooh, I’ll look it up asap! 😍
This was very chill and relaxing, I enjoyed it a lot ^.^ Those squares are so cute, I adore them T-T
the lau square will make it even cuter 🫶🏼

I immediately subscribed you when you mentioned SHINee❤
my heart is soaring seeing shawols finding my videos!!! 😭💗💎
Nikki...I forgot to ask but will you be showing us how you join the squares? Thanks!!
with my last bag, I think I did it with a slip stitch and I might do the same here! but, we’ll see haha

Love it making the same thing that you are
But while watching this I was making my first granny square ever
btw i’m guessing those paintbox cotton yarns are 50g, in which case you should have plenty leftovers to make something else with! i made a granny square tote bag with 18 squares and it used up about 200g

I hope you enjoyed Violet Evergarden!
I just finished it and many many tears were shed but it was so lovely. I enjoyed it very much 💗
I have gotten straps by buying bags at thrift stores. I take off the hardware and straps then throw away the bag part.
ohhh that’s a wonderful idea! I’ll have to try that!
it's totally okay not to show your face, just do what you want to do!
I feel like you don't need to show your face and I don't think the background noise should be too much of an issue!
its ok if you don't show your face I have been thinking of maybe making a youtube channel I don't think I would show my face.
