- Martha Stewart has been announced as one of Sports Illustrated’s four Swimsuit cover models for 2023. She joins TODAY to talk about stepping back in front of the camera and how she tries to not be afraid of anything. “To be on the cover at my age was a challenge, and I think I met the challenge,” she says.

Beyond her physical beauty, her story is one of resilience. Almost 20 years ago she was sentenced to prison and lost most of her $1 billion dollar fortune. How many people would have been sunk by that? She got right back on the horse and started plugging away again doing what she loved. She's just a remarkable person by any measure. I love the quote in this interview..."All of us should think about good, successful living and not aging. The whole aging thing is so boring." Love it. Stone cold legend!

She's had a tremendous amount of plastic surgery and those platforms are ridiculous. She's 81, she has no wrinkles, it's plastic surgery.

If we could afford it? Nonsense. I didn't grow up with all the advantages, but my mother & dad instilled many of the same ideals as Martha's parents did in her. I don't have her genes, but we can all look at ourselves through a self-reflective mirror & make positive improvements. Your attitude needs a little adjustment. 😊

I always learn something from Martha. I learned how to entertain in the early 1980s when I was in my early 20s and bought her Entertaining book when it first came out. I’ve had many successful parties thanks to her.

The photos are beautiful and may be altered but so are the young models' pics. Even more than the pics, I like her message of successful living. She seems to enjoy the life she created and built and that keeps youth and health alive.

here's the problem with this: once again, the media has taken a very wealthy older woman who pours a tremendous amount of cash into her looks, her hair, her skin, and also by her own admission has "good genes" and started her career as a model, and of course you'll come up with a good looking person on the cover. Most hardworking women in their 40's don't look like this, much less at 80. Just tired of this continual applause directed at people like her with HUGE amounts of money and now older women feel even worse about themselves, not better.

And yet she’s not photoshopped right here on your screen and still looks amazing! You know the reason she’s always so shiny? Tons and tons of moisturizer. Sure, hundreds of dollars of moisturizer, but you can do the same with Aveeno or similar. She’s also lived a life full of exercise, hard physical work, and high quality food. Most of us could choose fresh salad over fast food junk and calisthenics at home for free, but too many don’t.

But anyone can look good with the best colorists and esthetician and personal trainers and camera filters lol 😉And i think she has had work done. Who cares right? she has definitely had work, and that's okay, but admit that too. Don't put it all down to genetics, skin care, diet, exercise - all those things are very important, but don't pretend work hasn't been done as well. Plus, I think this is pushing the narrative that it's not okay to just age naturally. Instead it's promoting that we needs to stay looking the same and that's not possible without lots of work, and cosmetic surgery!

Yes she still looks good but there are many other women far more attractive that would have been more qualified don’t get me wrong I’m happy when I see anyone for success but she is NOT someone you want to thrive to be like she went to prison for “ insider trading / theft “ while she was able to pay extra for her “ cell “ which was really still a very nice room and bragged about divorcing her husband because he did not put his dirty socks in the hamper in today’s society for me personally this sums up everything wrong with America when people are idolizing like this
