The NT1 has been underrated for decades. Rode overall has been underrated forever. My favorite one from Rode is the NTK tube mic. When setting up new studios for beginner and advance users, I always recommend a Rodes mic. Don’t get thrown off by the prices. Rodes delivers, no matter what level you are on. As a recording engineer for over 25 years, I can say the NT1 is a monster and should be $999, especially when you know how to record.
NT1 is cool. definitely not a bad choice for someone’s first mic. I wouldn’t say it’s worth $999.

The Rode NT1 was compared to the U87 in the 1990s,I bought a NT1 in 1997 and is still loving it today!$159 is a bargain price affordable for many.

I bought a Rode NT-1 (old school version) back in 2000 a my first condenser. But I use an Oktava MK-319 for vocals now because my Rode sounded too harsh and brittle for vocals in comparison. I still have it but use it mainly for things like percussion, where it sounds fine to my ears, but not for vocals. I wonder how this new NT-1 Signature Series is different from the O.G. version in terms of components and sound quality.
Just picked up this mic, I have the NT-1 and it's good so I had to try the Signature too.

Recorded my FIRST record with a KORG D8 and the Original Rode NT1 and some of my friends on major labels would inquire WHAT type of mike we were using. EXCEPTIONAL mic in MY personal opinion. GLAD to see its a CHOICE mic still💪🔥💯♥️

Vocals has been EQ’d, compressed and a lil saturated. Plus the reverb and delayed added.

Hmmm it’s okay, but I heard this mic breaks easily.
