Hey PML & Guido, thanks for making this series, I came across it just in time to maybe salvage my horrible singing voice; srsly, I've always known I couldn't sing, but recording it for a production is especially painful. But I've got all these software tools, and I've made some progress, so really thanks.
One thing, I found some interesting details behind the production of the reference track, and since Guido sort of ponders the making of the vocals on this reference track, I thought I would post a link to a recording of Joel's stream where he has apparently discovered the vocalist while listening to fan submissions as part of some sort of open casting (if that's what you call it in the music industry), and another link to a later section of the same stream where Chris (who recorded the vocals and given credit on the published work) talks with Joel. It's all very sweet and inspiring. Anyways, keep up the great work on the tutorials, they are much appreciated.

I think the breath is not bad. Sounds to me like that little nuance is what gives the singer character.

whats so great about a vocal booths? Everyone says that but i dont get it.. arent vocal booths kinda dead sounding, seems like they would need the most processing anyways.

It’s like taking a photo in raw. You want to be able to take the singer in the direction the song should go. Not the the direction the room says it has to. Better to add effects after
