So beautiful. It did not sell because of the ridiculous pricing. At $50k, instead of $75k, and with rear wheel drive, it would have sold incredibly.

Hi Dave, As I mentioned in previous comment, I purchased a 2016 ELR that was identical to yours except mind has black leather seats. As you know Cadillac completely went through the 2016 propulsion system with the goal of better refinement and more power. Cadillac engineers also upgraded the, suspension, brakes, and steering. Even though the propulsion system is the same one out of the Volt, the ELR and the Volt feel like completely different cars. I should know I also had a Volt has a company car. Anyway, I am very happy with my 2016 ELR. It's a unique piece of Cadillac history. It's fun to have a vehicle that honestly most people do not know it exists but still turns heads. Outside of the new Cyber Truck that is a rare experience now. Cheers!!!

It would be interesting to do a follow up video after Roger repairs the screen, seat heaters, leather, etc. I am curious how he will go about it, how much it cost him, and how he likes the car after owning it for several months.

This reminds me of when I sold my Chevy Volt after getting my Tesla Model Y a few years back. The guy I sold it to was just starting to take his first steps into electrified vehicles. He originally bought the car with the intention of giving it to his daughter who had just gotten her drivers license.
But after he and his wife drove it around for a few days, they loved it so much that they ended up keeping the car for themselves, and they gave their daughter the minivan instead. Last I heard she hated that thing, and told him to hurry up and buy a Tesla so that she could get the Volt. Other than a few minor things, it was still going strong for him last I heard.

Woulda loved to have got a ‘16, but they were up over $20K. Just bought a ‘14 for a song! Job one: swap out for the 2016 grille and front/rear emblems.
I've seen my first wild white ELR at work twice now and the car does look pretty nice.

I have two thoughts the ER is a stunning car. Looks just like my old CTS did and I miss that even though I love my Tesla
Thought number two. I would never make the mistake of leaving my tags on a car. When I was young and stupid 40 years ago, I sold my college car and let the guy have the leave the tags on it until he could get it registered. You probably got three parking tickets which came to my house took me months to clear up.

The ELR is a beautiful car but maybe a bit niche for anyone other than an enthusiast who has the knowledge / connections to be able to fix things on it, which it appears Roger might have. We will all miss it and while the Volt was available here in Europe as the Ampera I don’t think the ELR was ever available in Europe. I think you sold the right car Dave even though I’m sure that you will miss it just for its looks.

I sold my Spark EV recently. The buyer’s only request was that it had 100% charge when he picked it up. He had a 130 mile drive home. Of course I obliged.
Biased, but glad you kept the Volt. No aspersions on the Caddy, but Volts rule.

Did you use an OBD2 dongle with an app to check to battery health before you bought the Cadillac ELR or the Chevy Volt? If so I would like to know what app you use etc. I'm in the market to buy my daughter one and would like to know the battery health if possible before we buy one. Thanks Dave!

WELL DAVE; I KNOW YOU LIKE TO CHANGE CARS QUITE OFTEN, BUT GEEZS DAVE!! YOU DID NOTHING BUT GUSH AND RAVE OVER THIS THING!! I THOUGHT YOU'D BE KEEPING IT FOR A LONG TIME!! ESPECIALLY AFTER INVESTING IN ALL THAT NEW, EXPENSIVE RUBBER!!I GUESS YOU FELL OUT OF "LOVE" WITH IT PRETTY FAST!! I THINK YOU DID GOOD GETTING OUT IT ALMOST FOR "BREAK EVEN" MONEY!! I FELL THAT AS IT AGES, IT WILL BECOME MORE DIFFICULT AND EXPENSIVE TO FIND BOTH PARTS, AND TRAINED SERVICE TECH'S THAT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT!!
