Awesome video. My wife is flying from Singapore to Seoul in early November. I heard they are bringing back the hot towel to economy starting in December. I saw a recent review of Singapore Airlines economy where the meal was served in a box and the portion size was tintly. I am hoping her meal looks like yours!!!
Glad to have a happy and joyful fright with Singapore Airlines myself! Enjoy their flight from LA to Tokyo. It will become my first choice in the future. No wonder, they always had top reviews! Thank you for sharing! 🤗💗
Their 787-10 has awesome economy class seats. You had one of the best wing view of the Dreamliner, you could easily enjoy the wing flex from there. Talking about the wing, I’m surprised to see such a new plane having so much damage to its wing. Btw, in the description, you wrote the plane was a 787-9, not a 787-10
Always a pleasant experience to watch a video with such a great cinematography and picturesque shots. Just a minor gripe though, your videos tend to be a little lacking on sound balancing; compared to the rest, the voice over goes mute and sometimes it’s hard to hear what’s being said. It would greatly enhance overall viewing experience. I see no room for improvement other than that though, great work
I tend to fly a lot with Singapore Airlines from Perth to many Asian destinations. I always enjoy watching your videos! (Btw I lived in Vancouver back into few years ago😉)
Awesome review onboard Singapore Airlines, I always loved the cinematic concept to your reviews. Just wondering, what were the gears you used for this video? :)
Hi Alvin, I will fly with SIA in March next year. Los Angeles to Sin and then Sin to Saigon. Premium Economy. Do you think 1 hour and 45 minutes will be enough for my connecting flight? Both with SIA. Thank you!
New viewer here! We're scheduled to take SQ economy class from LA to Tokyo in a couple of weeks, and I'm totally stressing about the "personal item" we're allowed. It seems none of my backpacks or purses are under "80 linear cm", but in videos I see people with normal-sized backpacks. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the great review. How did you find the width of the seat? It seems to be 17.5 inchs due to being 3-3-3. Their A330 has 2-4-2 and has 19 inches. I guess the answer is depends on how big you are and the other 2 passengers...
Hi Alvin My economy class allowed 2 pieces 23kg check in bags But for carryon They told me on their customer service chat you’re allowed one piece 40x30x10cm Which is super tiny In everyone’s videos on RUclips I see economy class passengers loading with regular sized personal items and even loading their carryon luggage overhead ?? What did you carryon the plane?
@@onemoreweektogoI've seen videos wherein Rimowa luggage wheels are destroyed (by baggage handlers, obviously). It's good to have the carry-on but, not worth the risk of damage by baggage handlers for check-in. Depending on your airport and destination, there are syndicates that will steal from the baggage while in transit from the airport to the plane and vice-versa. They have the passenger manifesto to background check passengers so, better keep expensive items out of your vlog to minimize interested parties. I learned all this through the comments from another video about stolen items from baggage in Europe. The airline and travel insurance were no help. They have limitations in what they cover. Stolen items from the baggage is not covered from what I understood. Unfortunately, security clearance is not high for airport staff like baggage handlers. If it was, the gold heist in Toronto would not have happened. Air Canada is at fault and so, is the airport but, no one's paying for the losses.
you cannot deny Emirates and Qatar airways inflight meals is miles better than SQ's, especially in economy. It's actually tragic seeing the quality of food being served here.
A solid experience with SQ in economy class. Changi Airport really is a destination in itself! Thanks for posting Alvin.
I can’t wait to go back again! Thanks Pierre!
I have to say your aviation blogs are of a quality that is second to none, so elegantly presented!
I can’t wait to fly SQ in Feb now haha.
Thank you so much! Enjoy your flight!!
Love the vloggy style in the video, your videos get even better each time!!
Thanks so much Serein! Trying to make it more vlog-style

enjoyed it bro! Was great having you here in Singapore 🙋🏻♂️
Thank you Aniq!! Was great hanging out with you!

Indeed bro! @@onemoreweektogo
Did it again! You know just how to make any flight look enjoyable. Love your work, Alvin 🙌
Thanks very much!
Lovely trip report as always, Alvin. You do wonderful work.
9:54 problems with planes like 787 and 777 when a wing bends too much

Ooops! Thanks, I updated it!
Were the lounges free?

Ohhh let me pay more attention to that in the next one! Thank you for the constructive feedback!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@onemoreweektogo And thanks for taking it as a constructive feedback!
Nice video, and a great airline. Good job!
Thanks Colin!
Fab work Alvin, Love the small touches and your attention to detail with the cinematic shots !!🔥😍 Keep these coming..
Thank you Rishi!!
Great video Alvin! 👍🏻
Thanks mate!

I wish I got to fly them more often! Thank you so much for the support! 🙏🏻
Changi Airport is the only airport in the world where I can never wait to check-in inside.
Nice vid. At 4:28, i think you mean "immigration" as "security" is done at the gate
Ah yes, that's what I meant haha. Sometimes I forget the details when making the trip report one year later...haha
Such a nice offering! Singapore Airlines keeps on proving that they know what they're doing.
Great video! Excited that i'll be on this exact same flight on November! Was it a full pax flight tho?
Pretty long flight for only one meal. I would definitely need those snacks
Hello, very nice review. I am just wondering if headphones are provided and if so, what kind/are they comfy. Thanks
Yes, see 14:42, I show the headphones. They are just standard earbuds from Singapore. Not the most comfy but decent for economy.
@@onemoreweektogothank you, sorry I was skipping through a bit haha 😅
Nice video Bro
Thanks Kenneth!
Awesome review onboard Singapore Airlines, I always loved the cinematic concept to your reviews. Just wondering, what were the gears you used for this video? :)
Thank you! I used a Sony a7iii with a 16-35 f4 lens for this video

Do you think 1 hour and 45 minutes will be enough for my connecting flight? Both with SIA.

Hi, yes 1 hour 45 is definitely enough especially since you're flying Singapore and transferring in Singapore.
Great. Thanks.
Do you get the snacks from the airline?

In my experience they usually aren’t that strict about it. If your backpack isn’t abnormally large it should be fine!
@@onemoreweektogo thank you !
@onemoreweektogo do you think a timbuk2 messenger bag would be acceptable?
Oh yeah I think so!
@@onemoreweektogo thanks, much appreciated!
is their hole in the wing
Which Conrad did you stay at in Singapore? And how did you find it? Thanks!
We stayed at the Conrad Centennial. It was pretty good actually! I loved it.

I felt pretty good about the width but maybe I’m biased as I had an empty seat next to me.
@@onemoreweektogo Thanks for the reply, that certainly helps of course. All the best with your channel, looking forward to the next one.
Their 330s are already retired years ago. So the 787 replace the routes and some a350s. Is still more comfortable in my opinion.
Hi Alvin
My economy class allowed 2 pieces 23kg check in bags

I carried a standard Rimowa cabin luggage onboard with no issues

JC, masks still??
This was mid 2022, masks were required at the time
Hmmm genting rendy to flight but prefer airbus then boeing
Economy class we can get snacks from the stewardess?
Worst economy class I have ever flown Singapore Airlines
