Thanks for sharing this review! I agree that if you have to fly Economy, it's best that it's with SQ. I've now subscribed to your channel. 😀

Thank you for watching and subscribing! Yes, SQ economy is definitely preferable over some other airlines.

I flew the SQ 78X from SIN to Perth and the experience was good.
Ups: they have the live tv (sport, cnn, cnbc, bbc News), and also a HD entertainment screen. In addition to this, you can adjust the colour tinting windows onboard.
Downs: the seat is very narrow, just 17.5 inches wide. I was very crammed up during the flight.

Thanks for your comment! The seat was a little narrow, but I found it to be all right for a medium-haul flight.

Hey, like your video. @ 8:22 just to highlight that there's only one shop catalogue called KrisShop. And it's one of the most impressive shopping catalogue in the skies. No carrier can beat Krisshop i think. In fact, i think in 2012 (or a different year?)there was a fuel hike and i think the airline industry was greatly affected and SQ only had a slim profit margin of $2million... Which was literally the profit earned from Krisshop sales. From then on, the company realize how every aspect that generate revenue shall never be taken lightly..

Thanks for your comment! Interesting - sometimes with airlines, aspects of the business other than selling seats on planes generate the most revenue. I think Qantas made more from their points/frequent flyer business during COVID than their air travel business.

@6:33 in the video I noticed quite a large dark stain on the wall, right hand side of the aero bridge. Wonder what caused that !

Thanks for watching! Not too sure what caused the stain.

The service and meals look absolutely terrible on Singapore Airlines these days. What a difference to what they used to be like. I must say that I am impressed with Air France, Lufthansa and British Airways compared to them.

I half agree/disagree. I feel British Airways and many other European carriers are lacking behind their Middle-Eastern/Asian counterparts in terms of catering. Cutlery is a big difference, where asian carriers have metal cutlery, european carriers use bamboo cutlery which falls apart so easily.

@@SHZ_Tristan19AF, BA and LH still with metal cutlery. But i would avoid KLM. 25-20 years ago, the trays on SQ were the largest and their trolley to pax ratio was also the largest. They also served very nice champagne in economy for a while. They have gone downhill since due to economics. I would try AF their bread is amazing in eco and they serve champagne and real cheese after the dessert too

I'm not sure how Singapore Airlines used to be, but I must say I would fly with them again - the meals tasted perfectly fine, and the portions were large enough. Many passengers didn't finish everything on their meal tray. The cabin crew were also friendly and proactive. Thanks for watching!

This is a good video but that was a rather boring take off. Ho-hum sound from the engines.

Thanks for watching and for your comment! I agree that the newer generation of engines make for a more subdued takeoff - they are too quiet.

Might be the recording equipment not picking-up the sound of the engines most favourably. Trust me the RR Trent 1000`s are the best sounding engines on B787.
