  • Do you have hypochondria (now called Illness Anxiety Disorder or Health Anxiety). Take this test to see if you meet the DSM 5 criteria for Illness Anxiety Disorder. I also talk about treatment for illness anxiety disorder and where you can find health anxiety resources.
    If you suffer with health anxiety and think you have an anxiety disorder you should seek help from a doctor or mental health professional but this test will give you an indicator.

    i have been dealing with this on and off for my whole life, but the last two years have been absolute hell dealing with my health anxiety. every day i am convinced that i’m sick with something different. my therapist talked to me about Somatic Symptom disorder, but I am having a really hard time accepting this diagnosis. the symptoms change every day, and i can’t get the thought out of my head that “something is wrong”. i’m exhausted 😢

    I dealt with hypochondria from last 12 years and then I Chose to not not give these thoughts energy and tag the physical symptoms with good or bad feelings i just call them sensations with no good or bad pain or feeling but you got to practice it every day atleast 20 times remind yourself no energy and only sensations and belive on it and slowly you ll start to come out of it but dont worry if you fall you ll get back up and improve btw i had covid two times and it helped during that time

    Yes , yes I do. At the moment my arm is in pain from doing too many blood pressure checks and it’s giving g me anxiety that it’s heart related by pains spreading to my chest and jaw . I want it to stop 😭

      You’re not alone. I’ve been dealing with chest pains and pain in my jaw for years because of anxiety. I’ve started to manage my anxiety but the physical symptoms are still there and I’ve been accepting the fact that they’re there but not harmful. It’s just the result of my body being in fight or flight for a decade. I’ve had, and still have, many other symptoms that come and goes and I apply the same mindset. I’m determined to beat the anxiety and so can you.

      @@nameofthegame9664 my cousin has Fibromyalgia and thinks I have it too, which makes me think if you’ve had pains for so long that maybe you could, I’ve not been to the doctors myself to have this prognosis this is just and idea. But maybe that’s the root cause and that’s what brings on anxiety for people like us thinking it’s something serious ?

      @@Ryan____Z I personally believe that fibromyalgia stems from anxiety. Your nervous system becomes so overworked after years of anxiety that it becomes super sensitive and starts giving faulty feedback. I also know from reading studies that many people who suffer from anxiety get misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia.
