    I've been using that P21S Polishing Soap for about 15 YEARS with great results. Just about all the P21S products (including their wax) is good stuff. Made in Germany. I also use all three of the other polishes you outlined here with great results as well. The one thing with the mothers is that you really need a power applicator with that one like their polishing cone. Then it really starts to shine (no pun intended) , but it really does start to work great with a power applicator. It will bring out an unbelievable gloss using it that way. Then you can just maintain the tips with the P21S soap at every wash. Tips will look great forever.

    The Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish is, as the name suggests is only for mag and aluminum, not chrome

  • @MrRustyBob
    @MrRustyBob 3 года назад +14

    The Nevr-Dull wadding polish is in a roll. Some folks don't realize this. They just pull a portion off the top. And that'll work. You don't have to unroll it. But it comes apart better unrolling it into one piece. Rather than pulling it out in pieces. But, that's just my opinion.

    I cut the end off a pool noodle as an applicator and It surprisingly worked really good 😂.

    Mothers says 'DO NOT USE ON CHROME' in all caps right on the can which was kinda weird considering its a metal finish polish

    • @erinericsson
      @erinericsson 2 года назад +4

      Probably because Chrome is more of an unnatural process and not quite a metal. It's done in a dip. And since they never really test it, they dont wanna get sued. But it possibly does work. At your own risk of course. I would buy a small piece of chrome or try on a small spot for awhile and go from there.

    • @eat_a_dick_trudeau
      @eat_a_dick_trudeau Год назад +1

      It is for polishing metal.
      Chrome is not polished metal.
      Chrome is metal that has been plated.

    Nevr dull when used right is the best out there. I've been using it for 24 years since getting introduced to it in military. This guy didn't do it right nor did he do it justice.

      Yeah I completely agree. My first introduction to it was on ship when we were polishing up the brass before inspections and with some elbow grease its worked far better than anything else I've used the last 5 years.

      Yep...agree. I have tried all of these as well. While the P21S does a good job, nothing is as good as Nevr-Dull.

    Hello Mike. I enjoyed the video. I have used both Never-Dull and Mother's. I like Mother's the best. One day I decided to go a different route. I tried a 0000 steel wool pad just to see how it would do and got great results. I also got good results when i used the pads with the Mother's product.

    These are stainless aren't they? Not chrome?

  • @daveh9551
    @daveh9551 Год назад

    These other products actually ruined my aluminum polished wheels. It made them a dull matte color which I liked but over time starts to look like crap. The Never Dull, with patience will bring it back. Works better when not in direct sunlight is what I found. Primarily because you don’t want it to dry too fast. The other stuff may be too harsh for “polished” ALUMINUM surfaces.

    Yea the last I could tell while you were applying it would be good mainly because it’s applicator put more product on to clean better

    • @MikesHouseOfMods
      @MikesHouseOfMods  4 года назад +2

      That's true, and I mentioned the advantage of the applicator in the video. And to make things fair, I went by the exact instructions each manufacturer had on their products. I'm sure if I used that applicator with one of the other products, it would probably do a better job. But I wanted this to be a fair test between all of them.

    well to do it right, you use a degreaser first (cheapest and the best is totally awesome at dollar tree) then some Chemical brothers diablo and then POLISH, you don't wax a car without claying and washing it first.

    Saturn sky is sexy, but that Ford explorer looks like a generic range Rover(hideous) plz consider Durango or 4runner.

    • @MikesHouseOfMods
      @MikesHouseOfMods  4 года назад +1

      I agree that the Sky is sexy, but I also like my Explorer. With over 180,000 miles on her, she's been good to me and I won't giver her up. I'm not a fan of the Durango or 4Runner, but I did consider the Grand Cherokee before I bought the Explorer, though. It was a tough choice and the Explorer won.

      Never-dull combats rust. Mother’s is a fine abrasive for polishing. Barkeepers friend removes water stains.
      The p21s made short work of the soot on those tips. I guess I need to get some of that too.
      If your test was on chrome with rust freckles your winners list would be reversed.
      Those 4 products are not similar. Each would “ shine” depending on the task.
