Looks like whoever washed those wheels used a acidic wheel cleaner "not" recommended! Maybe after you polish the wheels try using a good paint sealant or ceramic coating to protect the polished finish...that's what I'd do. I'd go with a sealant as the ceramic coating is very hard to apply (properly) and very difficult to remove if you screw up. Never Dull is good stuff it's been around a long long time, I remember my neighbor using it back in the late 60's. BTW don't waste your time with "wheel waxes" they don't last very long. Try a good long lasting sealant there are really good ones out there. I personally use Menzerna Power Lock on my car and water still beads up for at least 9 months. Although I don't have bare metal like your wheels I think it would work.

Nice wheels, they came out clean! I bought a set of fixer uppers to go on my truck and I’m figuring out how to polish them up via RUclips. Perhaps it will work better if you apply the never dull in circular motion. Thanks for the video. You can check out my channel mid December to see my truck post paint shop
