Nice to see you again Dan, thank you for sharing this insight! That's quite a comfy looking room. Plenty of space to be keeping all your stuff, both business and personal. Nice to see Doug again too! Hope you've been well, all the best for the week ahead mate, I look forward to the next one!
WOW things have improved my first room in paderborn 74 their were 12 of us 6 down one side 6 down the other side one grey steal bed each one grey steal locker each and one grey steal cabinet wow
How does transfers work in the British army I'm currently 3 weeks away from passing out iv signed up for RLC driver but fancy light cavalry crewman now that in more well versed
Are some regiments known for having better or worse rooms? Or does it vary. Next to no information around on it. I wanna know what infantry regiments might have better quality rooms. Or what regiments might be good to avoid
How frequently do you have to move accommodation or is this a permanent solution provided your situation within the force stays the same. And can you paint walls ect? Is that allowed?
On most camps yes, some places you need permission but most of the time if they bring some form of ID and you sign them in at the guardroom you should be ok
I have a rather odd question. Is there a possibility that you’d be able to deny taking naked communal showers under religious grounds? I’ve heard the army is very welcoming and accommodating when it comes to religion, so will they allow this?
It would just get delivered to the guard room on camp then go to the post room where you would collect it. Only downside is the post room is usually not open on a weekend

Wow 👀
Depends on which unit you go to and the unit I went to is have to live in a container flat with 4 man room with only one wardrobe which is small
I was half expecting someone to jump out of the wardrobe haha
🤣🤣🤣 I should have done that
Doing research into how the barracks to look to see if I can fit in a console
Shit sure has changed for the better. Also, we need more dog episodes pls. Cheers, corporal.
Haha more dog vids coming up then!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not all like that though.
@@masteryoda7207 definitely not all
Wow looks better than the Hilton Hotel

🙈🙈 the amount of grief I’ve recieved for not knowing about a kids film is unbelievable 🤣🤣🤣
Catching up again , also that room is huge . My lad besties room is tiny . Thanks for the vid

@@DanMTomo 😂😂😂😂
Due to be at Pirbright in a couple of weeks, I'm worried I'm might be sent home due to BMI
If you had no problems at selection then i think you will be ok, in the meantime keep training, eating healthy and work on flexibility
You’re a very good pti lol had a lesson with you recently

It varies from camp to camp although most places are either being upgraded or due to be upgraded in the near future.
It was quite messy in there. Does that mean the room's not getting daily inspections?
No mate, it’s not like basic training. There is still inspections but maybe once a month
What Barracks is this? Much better than the block in Bourlon Barracks.
This is Thorney island
Only had to wait for a year to know 😂
@@rickthebik so sorry bro! I’ve only just worked out how to filter comments to see who I’ve not replied to.
Very Smart! Only thing missing is a jacuzzi 😂😂
That would be the dream! There is a bath in the corridor though🤗
If you want to order a product online does the british army have a address where you can order from
Every camp has a post room that you can collect your mail from
Just saying, a very small percentage of camps have rooms like this, most are old and out of date
Very true
I've never seen Z Type like this 😂.... probably the only one like it!
@@sambennellick8327 to be fair the block is only about 2 years old. Hopefully this is the standard of all blocks built in the future
Staff around the barracks are cool with dogs?
Aslong as you get permission
The dog had me wondering, if you want to join but have pet commitments, what is the Army's policy on pets? Are they allowed in the housing units?
Hi mate, I have a video on this topic, have a watch on that and if you still need answers let me know

Christ mate mine not got a walking wardrobe lol just a room with shower toilet like a bed sit lol
To be fair I think this is the nicest room I’ve seen
Defo mate biggest room I seen bud
Bugger me things have changed since the 1980's!
can you bring girls over or stay overnight in the army flats accommodation?
On most camps yes, some places you need permission but most of the time if they bring some form of ID and you sign them in at the guardroom you should be ok
Are these rooms different to the rooms officers would be in during training?
I’m not sure to be honest, I’ve not yet been to sandhurst
That's a nice room, is that for just one person?
Yes it is
Its a shame the dog isn’t issued :(
🤣🤣 it is, everyone should be issued a dog on completion of basic training
I have a rather odd question. Is there a possibility that you’d be able to deny taking naked communal showers under religious grounds? I’ve heard the army is very welcoming and accommodating when it comes to religion, so will they allow this?
Most places have your own personal shower or at least shower cubicle
Hi. Not sure if u read this but of I ordered something from Amazon for example how would they deliver it?
It would just get delivered to the guard room on camp then go to the post room where you would collect it. Only downside is the post room is usually not open on a weekend
Is this Catterick?
No this is at thorny island
Where is this?
Thorney island
