      It’s probably bc they wanna suck and lose as many games as possible in order to secure Trevor Lawrence which is one of the best college prospects to ever come out of college. That and the fact that it’s at the quarterback position I think makes the Jets smart for just accepting an L for this season and then firing Gase at the end of the season and just pinning all the blame on him to that next year there is some form of hope for the team

      @Chozo_Ghost 3 года назад +27

      @@supremetwinkie7231 If the Jets don't do some overhauling across the entire roster, then they're going to seriously mess up Trevor Lawrence's career before it even gets started, similar to what the Bungles (er, Bengals) are doing to Joe Burrow right now lol

      @@Chozo_Ghost well yeah the jets aren’t gonna win their first year even if they select Trevor. Probably won’t win in the next 3-4 years after that as well but if you can get a guy who can be a franchise quarterback for the next 20 years then that’s still a small window and I think the one shifty season to secure that player is the best move in the long run for the franchise

However, Payton's recent activity has been mostly clean play, whereas Williems did something very similar against Brett Rypien just last week. Not only that, but he did it in a situation where it couldn't even POSSIBLY have helped the Jets win, meaning he did it purely out of spite. Also, Payton has proven to be a great coach outside of his issues, with his West-Coast style offense resulting in guys like Drew Brees, Jimmy Graham, Darren Sproles, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas becoming some of the most revered names in football. Also, who is it on that tape, Payton or Williems?

      Eeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ....... I don't know. True, he is a veteran, but he's started for 8 different teams due to struggling to find a starting job. And on top of all that, he's cursed if he's named the starter of a team for more than one season; he goes from Fitzmagic to Fitzception. Should Tua really be mentored by him?

    • @tinytrtle5681

      Frankly id say he's literally the perfect guy for the job, while on the field he was never quite able to put it together meaning he'll be patient, the biggest about him out of college was that he got a 48/50 on the wonderlic test (most stars get high 30's) meaning he l he's really damn smart and probably has a really good mental understanding of the game.
