We sell this at our store. Great product. Doesn't last too long in big tubs and is much more expensive. You're paying for the convenience.
One of the best explanations I've seen of the system. Thanks.
Thanks for watching rcytb
I have used this product for a couple of years. My biggest complaint is the vapor's. It's not pleasant to breathe.
I doubt that it's harmful. It's just an unpleasant smell.
AMAZING
I have my new hot top and I didn't know how to use it but thanks to you for explaining everything very clearly and now I feel more secure. Thanks
Thanks for watching Alberto and Goodluck with your new hot tub!
Thanks
We are looking forward to your new video!
Coming soon!
Hey Justin, good job on the content. Nice delivery of the information. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks for watching!
@@Poolelementary How about if it sits on top of the filter most of the time... what I mean is the cartridge always seems to be right over where the water is getting sucked to the filter instead of floating around in the hot tub? could that have caused it?
There design is supposed to prevent that from happening because most tubs do pull them to the filters while running that's what keeps them out of your face when using the tub but honestly the only way to tell is if you were to test your chlorine levels right after you noticed it they should have been sky high because it would of put a month's supply of chlorine in your Hot tub in just three days.
Where do you order the mineral side a can't find them anywhere. Please help.
Great video!...Question?.... after putting the frog in my hot tub, how long until it's ok to get in the hot tub?
Nice video! Your explanation and demonstration were very helpful. We are about to empty our hot tub due to a build up of cyanuric acid and the chlorine failing.
We use Spa Marvel, which we are planning to add once the tub is refilled and the temperature of the water raised, before adding anything else. Have you used Spa Marvel along with the Frog @ease?
Thanks for watching and no I haven't tried the Spa Marvel product myself but let us know how it works with the Frog@ ease please. Thanks again!
@@Poolelementary We started using the Frog @ease system yesterday. We added the Spa Marvel first, then the Jump Start before putting the frog in the spa. I used it today and though the water is very clear, the chlorine smell is very strong - much stronger than it ever was when we used the Di-Chlor and non-chlorine shock.
(We always use the Spa Marvel first because it's just enzymes the helps deal with soaps and oils. It's supposed to keep the water clear with only 0.5ppm chlorine.)
Perhaps it's because we shouldn't have used the whole packet of Jump Start? Our 3-person spa is only 180 gallons. I'm very chemically sensitive, so this is very disappointing so far. I hope the chemical smell disappears soon.
Great video! Only one question… after a fresh drain and fill do I need to wait for the water to get hot before I start testing the water? And add the jump start? Thanks
Thanks for watching. I check the water chemistry upon filling the tub just to make sure the ph isn't to far off from 7.5 and add ph up or down accordingly. After ph is close I add the jump start in. After the tub gets to temp I check my water chemistry again.
How often do you have change the blue mineral part of the frog floater ?
They normally last about 4 months
So do you have to replace or buy new "BLUE" cartridges or do you keep using it again and again with the grey side?
The blue mineral side last about 4 months and yes should be replaced once every 4-5 months.
@@Poolelementary Thanks!
When do you replace the blue side? Minerals right?
My blue side ran out and I can't find replacement. This sucks!!
When do you replace the mineral blue side of the float ?
Once every 3 to 4 months.
Hi we have a tub customers come to to use every day, with the tub having mabie 10+ guests per day would you recommend moving over from adding chemicals to the frog@ease? Will it be hardy enough ?
I don't think the frog at ease would keep up with that load of people it's made for maybe 2-4 people using the tub. 10 people is more of a commercial amount and would need a in line system rather than just a floater like the frog
@@Poolelementary thank you for the advice much appreciated
When using this frog ease system, how often should I be using my non chlorine shock with frequent use?
Hello Anthony, I normally add shock atleast once a week with my tub with the frog and if I have a bunch of friends over in it I shock it after we're done and out of the tub for the evening.
@@Poolelementary thank you so much for the reply. I was leaning towards a once a week non chlorine shock but I wasn't 100% sure since chemistry is good and frog ease only mentioned a shock during a cartridge change. BTW, we are new tub owners. If anything, I notice a bit of a strong chlorine or chloramine smell especially with jets on though chlorine level on test strip looks good. I hope the shock helps break this. Also, I notice after use, my total alkalinity drops. Still figuring it all out!
It seems always stuck at the filter suction which is at the surface of my tube , is this ok
Should be fine. They are meant to suck over to the filters when the tub is running to keep the floater from getting into your face while using the tub. When the tub is not running it should float back out into the tub.
What about the blue mineral side….how long is it good?!
About 4 months
@@Poolelementary How do you know when the blue side needs to be replaced?
The mineral side last about 4 months
One question after using the hot top, should I turn it off or keep it on with the water running????
It shouldn't matter your frog at ease will continue to sanitize with the tub on or off. Thanks for watching Alberto!
@@Poolelementary okay thanks
I have another question sorry but this Chemical thing is more confusing that people say. I have the frog@ease system like this. They told me to put in the FROG JUMP START but it says for 600 gallon hot tub. My hot tub is 235 Gallons. I test my water using their frog test strips and everything looks good, however, I have my water tested at the dealer where I bought the hot tub and they tell me my total Chlorine is 7.7? So did putting the whole pack for a 600 gallon hot tub cause the issue? How is that safe and I chat with them and they say well our strips don't work or tell total chlorine? That does not sound safe to me if you could expose your family to high levels of chlorine and not even know it? So should I have taken 1/3 of the jump start and put that in... their Customer service online said no... use the whole packet? Thanks for any advice...
Bottom line is yes you could of put about a half a packet in on a fresh fill and been fine and normally a hot tubs temperature will cook off the excess chlorine in a few days but you are right if it was my hot tub and my family getting in it I would be cautious also. Next time I would just add a third and test the water to see if you have a 1ppm-3ppm chlorine residual before adding your frog floater.
@@PoolelementaryThanks again!
Mine flipped after 3 days.... 225 plug and play hot tub was set on #1?
That seems strange to me also. Sounds like more and more products are going to shit these days. Must of been a poorly filled chlorine cartridge or something from factory. 🤔 hmm
Does the Frog@ease make one of these that uses Bromine?
Mainly used for inline cartridge systems that are built in the tubs now yes they do have bromine systems and you can find the bromine floating system on Amazon also by frog at ease.
