Tony considered Chris' dad like an older brother to him. So that by extention made Chris his "newphew".

This show is as good as breaking bad and better call saul but in a very different way, the sopranos make a lot of social comments about consumerism, racism etc, also a fundamental difference Brba and bcs make you sympathize with the character in the first seasons as you follow his descent into evil, the sopranos make it clear from the pilot episode that Tony is a horrible person Which you shouldn't have sympathy for
