About This Video:
Do you know if you’re living the life of your dreams or the life of your nightmares? Two things to help determine this are: the victim mentality and the acceptance of being vulnerable. No one really confesses that they have a victim mentality, but the shocking truth is: many of us have it and we don’t even know it.
On this episode, I will reveal the characteristics of both, the victim mentality and vulnerability. Listen in to learn how you can overcome the victim mentality by experiencing vulnerability - regaining your integrity and power!
Many people have victim mentality and they don't even realize it. It's not something that is chosen consciously. And it can be pretty sneaky.
But here is the thing; when you identify as a victim, you are giving away all of your power. And this affects the way that you live your life.
The main way I see victim mentality show up in my clients is with blame. An explanation as to why they are miserable. It's someone else's fault. They create this relationship where the other person is in charge of how they feel.
Victim mentality creates defensiveness and learned helplessness. On the other hand, vulnerability is showing up, being all in, and being willing to experience any emotion.
Vulnerability requires courage. You have to be willing to feel any emotion that comes up. And there is no emotion that will ever require you to hide from yourself.
