Yellowstone

In this episode of CheapFamilyTravel (www.cheapfamily...) Nick, Regan, Maggie & Kate visit the geysers and animals of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. There is no other place in the world like Yellowstone. You have to see the geysers, hot springs and mudpots for yourself. See Old Faithful blow and experience the amazing colors in the springs. You can walk the boardwalks and trails at Old Faithful, West Thumb, Midway and Norris Geyser Basins. Visit the shops and visitor centers throughout the park. But our favorite thing about Yellowstone are the animals. There are buffalo and elk everywhere, but we also saw beaver, osprey, marmots, wolves and bears. We love driving Hayden and Lamar Valleys in the morning and at dusk to see the herds of prong horn and wolf pups playing. Ask around and look for people with scopes to find the animals. Also, make some time to visit Upper & Lower Yellowstone Falls in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The views are absolutely breath-taking. Yellowstone is the perfect cheap family vacation because the geysers, animal watching and hiking are all free activities that every family will enjoy.
