    I have not tried any of her patterns but I do enjoy the look of patterns by Rooney sewing. I am planning on making her Betty dress and I really like that she offers many different variations of this pattern. I think her style is a more wearable/ subtle cottage core style as well.

    Took me a minute to work out what you meant when you said « erithreal » . I think you meant ethereal ? Lovely vlog. Want to make everything.

    Hi, first time to your channel and I love it! We are into the same “hobbies”. In the video you show a dress from the back at time stamp 2:40. Could you tell me the name of this pattern? I’ve subscribed.

      Thank you for your lovely comment! So great to have you here. I’m afraid that was just a picture from Pinterest so I don’t have a pattern for that one.

    Thank you so much Rachel. I just found you recently and am loving your content so i just wanted to leave a couple of words here. I am a knitter and also trying out spinning. The more i watch your sewing videos, the more i really want to dive into trying out sewing myself. I am just still intimidated and really have no idea on how to start as i am an absolute beginner. It would be so awesome to be able to make my own dresses as i am living in dresses and skirts but really have troubles finding the ones i really want due to my really curvy figure. Do you have any tips on how to start and which are great ressources to learn everything?

      Thank you for your lovely comment and I’m so excited that you are inspired to sew! I would really recommend Tilly and the Buttons patterns to start. They have lots of videos to help and have a beginner section on their website for all the beginner patterns. Also my friend Sally has a great channel on YT - Secret Life of a Seamstress and she did a whole series for beginner sewists recently. Another channel I recommend is Rosery Apparel, she also did a series for beginner sewists either tutorials to follow and all the tips you need. Hope that helps ❤️

    As usual, your pattern recommendations are wonderful! I feel like my bra straps would show in a lot of these though 😅 As a busty, plus sized gal in her 40s, I can’t do anything with too much cleavage or back showing.

    • @RachelBearn
      @RachelBearn  5 месяцев назад +1

      Ah yes I can understand that! You can often make a little bra strap holder though which I’ve done before so they stay in the right place!

      I had to add some short ribbons, tacked to the shoulder seams, with snaps to secure the dress to the bra strap.
