Your cosy vlogs are a beacon of light and I’m always excited when I see a new one in my feed. Would you ever consider doing a chatty vlog about your handmade knitwear, your most worn/favourites and what yarns and patterns you used? Thank you and blessings to you and your lovely dog Pearl 🙏❤️
I say keep making the patterns you love! I do and I love seeing all the different versions in my closet. I have 4 Élodie dresses, 6 Charlie caftans, 5 Lyras 😂 they are what I wear ! Great blog as always!
I keep all my leftover sock, yarn and incorporated into new socks. I too love to have socks on the go when I’m travelling, they are the perfect small project to take with. Your sweater design is just so pretty! Your goals to take things easier with no pressure is such a good way to do things. Slow living should be just that🥰. Thank you for another wonderful video💖
Double gauze makes lovely pyjamas. I think the gingham would look nice as a style arc montana dress with a lined bodice. You could wear lovely russet or deep red warm easy make long sleeve jersey tops underneath ( nico top or freya top). When the weathers warmer you could wear nice big collar cream blouses underneath.
Hello Rachel 😊. Your sweater looks beautiful and the wool blanket will be so warm and cozy. I am leaving for an ocean get away in a few weeks which inspired me get together my scraps of blue fabrics and make a Victorian crazy quilt beach bag. I’m just finishing the embroidery stitches on the one side and it will be done. It’s turning out very pretty.
I soooo love your channel! I have just recently found you and such a good find😍 Here I sit by my south window that is cracked about a foot open with a soft gentle breeze wafting in, my puppy laying in the sun on my very sunshiny deck, I’m wearing a tank top, drinking a glass of juice while I hem up a dress that I’m just completing. And I live in Calgary, Alberta!!! 40 minutes from the Rockies! 😮 BUT……. Yes! We can get nasty cold weather too that freezes your bones! Just not today, thankfully. I am always on the lookout for another vlog….. they are so relaxing and enjoyable❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
I have family in Calgary and have always wanted to visit! Such a beautiful part of the world ❤️ sounds like a gorgeous way to spend a bit of free time ❤️
This vlog was such a lovely treat today! Your vlogmas was my absolute favorite this year (or I guess I should say last year), so I'm excited to hear that you plan to do some more vlogging. I am enjoying a slow January too. I have become such a winter person. As a homebody, I thrive during the slow, cozy, snowy season. (I'm also someone who doesn't tolerate sunshine and heat very well, so cold and overcast like we get here in Michigan suits me perfectly).
Thank you, Rachel, for a lovely vlog. Having a slow January to ease into the new year is the best idea. You seem to enjoy the many projects you take on, from making bone broth and bread, to knitting and sewing. I have frequent pain, as you do, so learning to take things slow is the key to enjoying the tasks of daily life. Your mustard cardigan is gorgeous and looks great over your plaid dress. I haven't worn dresses for several years; but, inspired by you, I would like to sew a few dresses and skirts for summer from my fabric stash. I look forward to your next vlog. Nancy in Arizona
Thank you Nancy! Lovely to have you watching from Arizona. I hope you get back into sewing dresses this year. It isn’t easy with pain but take it slow and enjoy the slow process ❤️
Another lovely vlog. Reading the comments it's nice that we are all different ages, from different parts of the world and yet we are all very similar in our likes and interests. I would be very interested to hear more about Pearl. In know she's a rescue dog, but how did she come to live with you. X
Yes it’s one of my favourite parts of doing a RUclips channel! So many different people who all love handmade, homegrown and slow ❤️ I will make sure to share more about Pearl in a vlog soon!
Dear Rachel, happy new year from bavaria. I enjoy your vlogs so much! Have you ever knit a pullover for pearl? I can highly recommend the Alvar dogs pullover by Sari Nordlund. I knit one for a dog and it fits perfect. I think a quick knit for you. Here today minus 7 degrees. My old hunting dog wears a pullover under his jacket as pearl do. :-) Best wishes, Sabine
Thank you Sabine! Lovely to have you watching from Bavaria - one of my favourite places! I have knit for Pearl before but am looking for a new pattern so will definitely check this out. Thank you!
I love your philosophy of easing into the new year. Just my cup of tea. I have 2 questions. First, when you are making bone broth is the liquid you add vinegar or oil? Secondly do you bake your bread in the cast iron pot and if so, is it with the lid on or off? I love the slow food movement and your videos are the first I seek out.
I really love your cardigan you are wearing and the colour is fabulous would you be able to tell me where you found the pattern? I really look forward to your vlogs and the walks you take with your darling dog. I’m trying to get back my sewing mojo so look forward to seeing what you will be sewing soon. Take care and sending love x

January as a time of rest and quiet as opposed to resolutions. I like it. Thank you for this new-to-me idea. Lovely vlog!
You’re so welcome! Spring is a much better time for big goals and changes I find 😘❤️

Love it when people remake their favorite patterns! Some of my favorite videos are 5 versions of the Lyra dress etc

I'm glad to see you're doing a low buy this year, fabric is very expensive and lots of us have a huge stash of fabric we need to go through 😊
Yes definitely!

It’s Apple cider vinegar and I bake with lid on for first half and off for second half 😊
@@RachelBearnthank you so much. I'm going to try my bread that way now.

Thank you! I’m afraid I made the pattern up. I might release it one day if I ever get round to it. Hope you get back to sewing soon ❤️
