You have not lived enough to know what kind of hell your own thoughts will produce in you. Agape means love in Greek. Specifically familial love. The kind of love that Jesus has for you. He suffered the ultimate form of suffering and he himself deserved the ultimate form of heaven. An eternal sacrifice, the God of everything giving himself up willingly for a people who hate him, in order for them to even have a chance of getting to heaven. He calls us to recognize the evil in ourselves. The desire to live for pleasure in the here and now. He calls us to destroy that part of ourselves because if we don’t destroy it, it will destroy us. We are like little children who are stupid, and he has come to teach us, if we will be taught. Yet many of us would rather remain in our stupidity which is disguised as intellect, because the answer he gave us is too simple for us to accept. We have become so smart that we have become like idiots, unable to see what is right in front of us. You might ask me: prove to me that your God exists. I will tell you this one thing: one who believes in miracles believes without ever having seen one, and one who does not, refuses to believe even if he does; he will claim that he is deceived by his own eyes, or that the miracle was a function of nature previously unknown to him. You want proof of my God, well, intellectual, I’ll give it to you: look around, the mountains shout evidence of his existence, and the grass sings a melody of his work. If you can’t see that, then you are deceived by the wisdom of the age, so full of ideas and concepts that you have no room for truth any longer. Looking so far, that you can’t see what’s right in front of you.
Listening to this while I am sitting in a cafe in Paris. It’s 11:30 here and it’s a little bit cold. I’m just observing people, someone is waiting, someone is running, girls are pretty. Some others one went out with their kids, smiles and tired faces everywhere. Now I’m crying realizing how beautiful it is to be alive. May we found the keys of theses cages we built by ourselves. Love you all humans.

And then as it goes on, the reality of life settles in, and I lose that joy and that hope. Everything seems so mundane and pointless, like there is no hope. There is no joy in life. Just stillness, stuckness, And then at the end.. there is a calm at the end, like it will all make sense, the bliss will return. I'm not there yet. I'm at the stuckness part, so it brings out tears for what's lost and what is not yet here.
