Do you know a easy chameleon to take care of
My mom wants one but has no experience
Thank you for the informative video. I have a question re basking light, if the ambient temperature is already at the recommended basking temperature does the basking light still need to be on or should it be hooked to a thermostat?
Hi I recently got your basic kit and I’m using live plants. I’m curious about the type of LED plant light to get , any recommendations?
I have a few linked on the lighting page of my website under plant LEDs www.neptunethechameleon.com/lighting as well as some linked on my shopping lists: www.neptunethechameleon.com/shopping-lists
We have a young male veiled chameleon and we are using a t8 5.0 reptisun rod bulb as well as a compact bulb that came in the ZooMed chameleon kit because his basking area hasn’t been up to temperature with just one. Is that ok?
I'd suggest getting a different heat bulb and a T5 5.0 UVB bulb for a 48" tall enclosure :)
@@NeptunetheChameleon we couldn’t find the bulb you recommended but we upgraded to a t8 10.0 and we also use it with the zoomed kit compact bulb (since the room he’s in is quite cold)
I have everything that you said to get. I've had my chameleon for almost a year now. But just recently he's starting to reach up and grab the top of the cage where the heat lamp is. Almost like he's trying to hang from the roof right up underneath the heat lamp. I have it 90 to 98 degrees so he is plenty hot. Do you have any ideas?
Ironically, he might be too hot and trying to escape the heat. The basking spot should be around 85. 98 is too hot
