Ive been using your advice but I found amazing Facebook group who not only gave and kept giving amazing advice , they also made calendars for different species and different ages , saved me so much because I was major panic with how to do the powders.!

You use auto-generated captions, which are known as "craptions" in the Deaf community due to their inaccuracies. The auto-generated captions in your videos aren't always accurate, so I miss out on what could be important info. Would you mind getting legitimate English captions for your videos? There are several resources/options available. There are companies that will caption the videos for you, such as one company that will caption for as cheap as $1/video minute. I've also seen RUclipsrs ask their viewers to volunteer to caption the videos for them in whatever language(s) the viewers are fluent in so their videos can be as accessible as possible.

You should do a video on which bugs to supplement and which not to. Cause I know some bugs are already high in calcium so should we not supplement those?

He has white buildup around his nose, I have read that it could be from salts or excess calcium. I am giving him Repti Calcium without D3 every day except for when I give him Reptivite with D3 twice a month. I came back to this video to see if I was using too much calcium. Could it be that I am adding too much calcium to his food? I am only using distilled water in his misting and fogging, but I used bath water when I washed, repotted, and watered all of his plants for his new home a month ago. Could it be the salt is emitting from the plants?
I have never heard of the white nose buildup being an excess of calcium. It is totally normal for this to happen and it sounds like your supplements are correct. Just make sure you are providing a light dusting on the bugs, and you should be fine. I don't think your plants are problematic either.

The Repashy calcium plus has more D3 than the LoD version and too much D3 can be harmful for chameleons which is why the LoD is more commonly used. I personally use Reptivite with D3: amzn.to/3o5wYnG

There are no direct benefits to placing your chameleon in a window, but lots of chameleons seem to enjoy looking outside. Just be sure to check the temperatures and that the window doesn't warm up the enclosure.

I have a question! Recently got my little guy so im sorta new to this. I got the rep-cal calcium with vitamin D3 thats phosphorus free. Should i just throw it out and get the same brand but the green label instead? And then just a multivitamin with vitmain 3? Keep the calcium and vitamin separate essentially
You can definitely do what you suggested or you can get the plain calcium (green label) and use that daily and then the multivitamin and calcium with D3 1-2x a month depending on the species. Both are good options. It's definitely simpler to just use the plain calcium and a multivitamin that already has D3 in it.

Assuming you have a panther or veiled chameleon you will want to use calcium without D3 every feeding except when you use the multivitamin 2x a month and the calcium with D3 2x a month. You should only use one supplement at a time and not overlap or mix. Hope that helps!

Once a chameleon is 3 months old, they should only be fed 1x a day in the morning. Check out Chameleon Academy for a supplement schedule for a chameleon that is younger than 3 months old. Hope this helps!
So do you use calcium wiout d3 everyday except the last day where you use the multi vitamin. So every other Sunday you use multi vitamin. And on the older video you said to rotate from multi vitamin to calcium with d3. So what I am trying ti ask is how do you do it on the daily?

To my knowledge Earth Pro A has bee pollen, Vitamin B1, B2, B6, B12 and K in it but it does not have preformed Vitamin A in it which is why a separate multivitamin is still recommended.
Careful please mention that beta carotene vs vitamin a chams cannot use the a in this form :( When beta carotene is in the vitamin the Cham ends up with the same vitamin a deficiency symptoms as when they don’t use a multi at all.
So in regards to vitamins and calcium and D3…I’m new to chameleon keeping and have been doing so much research, but Im having a hard time wrapping my head around it all. I currently have: Flukers Repta Calcium with D3 (without Phosphorus) Zoo Meds Reptivite multi vitamin without D3 Zoo Meds Repti Calcium without D3 *on order* Repashy superfood calcium plus LoD How should I be supplementing these and what can I eliminate out of all four of these items to make it feel less like a drug store lol

I went to a PetSmart the other day and they were selling a chameleon for adoption. The chameleon was 100% egg bound you could literally see the outline of the eggs inside of her, not to mention that they never put calcium powder on their crickets which made the chameleon shake every time it walks so it probably has calcium deficiency, not to mention that they had a bunch of plastic over a laying bin and they missed the enclosure once a week

I personally supplement all of my bugs. Some people choose not to supplement BSFL since they’re high in calcium.

Iam setting up a 24×18×36 screen enclosure by exo terra is running a arcadia t5 6% too much uvb for that size enclosure
The T5 6% is meant for a 24x24x48" enclosure :) What's your reason for using such a small enclosure?

Make sure they just have a light dusting and wait him out. He has to get proper supplementation especially if he is a rescue.

Still not sure that my lighting is right going to run with a 15% jungle dawn for plant growth and 7% shade dweller for uvb and 50w deep heat admitter
That sounds like a great lighting setup for an enclosure that’s a least 48” tall.

hi, just wondering if you put the enclosure of your chameleon near a window still requires UVB lighting.
Windows cancel out natural UVB from the sun so you will still need to provide a UVB bulb.

It isn't necessary. Just make sure to have the other supplements and a strong gutload routine.

White tinted is fine! Too much supplement powder can make it tricky for their tongue to stick to the bug.

I just use the multivitamin twice a month for my veileds
No calcium?
So in regards to vitamins and calcium and D3…I’m new to chameleon keeping and have been doing so much research, but Im having a hard time wrapping my head around it all.
I currently have:
Flukers Repta Calcium with D3 (without Phosphorus)
Zoo Meds Reptivite multi vitamin without D3
Zoo Meds Repti Calcium without D3
*on order* Repashy superfood calcium plus LoD
How should I be supplementing these and what can I eliminate out of all four of these items to make it feel less like a drug store lol
What kind of chameleon do you have?

@@Liyah512 Sorry I missed your reply earlier. Use the Zoo Meds Repti Calcium without D3 every feeding and the. Use the Repashy LoD 2x a month. Hope that helps!

@@NeptunetheChameleon I never thought i'd say this, but this is the proudest moment of my life.
I went to a PetSmart the other day and they were selling a chameleon for adoption. The chameleon was 100% egg bound you could literally see the outline of the eggs inside of her, not to mention that they never put calcium powder on their crickets which made the chameleon shake every time it walks so it probably has calcium deficiency, not to mention that they had a bunch of plastic over a laying bin and they missed the enclosure once a week
