I desperately want a chameleon and so appreciate your videos. I am concerned the climate where I live will be a problem. Any advice for people form 🇨🇦 lol. It’s very cold and dry the majority of the year and summers are brutally hot and often very humid.
Always wanted a Chameleon since i was a little boy. Finally got one yesterday and didn’t realize how much goes into keeping them healthy and giving them the best life. He’s a baby veiled I have an alright starter enclosure going to order your Basic Kit very soon. So thankful I found your channel to show my family since all of a sudden they’re the chameleon whisperers and know everything😂 Again, thank you!
Hey… I’m a new subscriber 😊…. Not a reptile person….but my autistic son had his birthday and had wanted a “lizard “….. again I’m not a reptile person my wife even less Regardless I ended up with a panther chameleon from our local pet store . I SHOULD know better considering I wouldn’t get a dog from a pet store with the puppy likely coming from a mill How concerned should we be
How long do feeder bugs last? You mentioned in another video that you only need to feed an adult a couple bugs every 2-3 days, but ive noticed most suppliers sell them in quantities of a couple dozen or more.
Depends on the bug! Dubia roaches and superworms will last for months. BSFL, silkworms, and wax worms will last for 2-2.5ish weeks and then hornworms last about 1-1.5 weeks.

Can you put your chameleon cage next to a window so the plants can have light? Just for the plants only I know that the chameleon gets no benefit of UVb rays through the window, strictly for the plants only. ? I have a huge homemade cage. 5 feet by six feet and there is a ton of plants in there as you can imagine for a cage that size so my veiled chameleon has plenty of places to hide when it is sunny out. I live in the northwest so we don’t get a ton of sun. Thank you so much.
Yes you can put them by the window! Just be sure to monitor the temperatures inside of the enclosure. You also may want to consider getting a plant LED light to help the plants: ruclips.net/video/gxVk7Cu5zh0/видео.html
Yes you need to change it out!! The one that comes with the fixture is not a UVB bulb. You can always double check the black print written on the bulb :)
I'm considering getting a chameleon, but the only tank size I can accommodate is 18”x 18” x 48”. I want to ensure it has a good quality of life, but the room I have is quite small. Do you think this setup would be okay, or should I reconsider getting a chameleon altogether?

This is going to help so many new chameleon keepers! 🤩
I sure hope so!!

What "table" are you stacking the cages on?

What do u recommend for power supply back up? I’m in louisiana and we r experiencing bad weather n power outages. I’m panicking about Fred’s lamps!!!!
Having a generator would be your best option!
@@NeptunetheChameleon just an update I found a solar panel that can power all 3 lamps!
Can you used Home Depot led for plant
I don’t have any experience with those so I can’t recommend them. Here are the lights I recommend: www.neptunethechameleon.com/lighting

On your kit do we change out the bulb on the t5 with the one you provided on the side? Or is that extra?

What kind of water should i use? Tap, mineral, distilled...does it matter?
Most people use RO, distilled, or filtered water. Tap water can be hard on your misters over time.

Unfortunately that enclosure size would be too small for a chameleon.
@@NeptunetheChameleon That’s unfortunate.. Thanks for answering my question!
Sorry didn’t mean to be texting you while you were filming! My bad! 😂

I really want one❤. But it's just too expensive to get the proper set up. I don't want to halfway do it. Maybe one day 😁💗
I have a lot of respect for your decision to wait until you're able to do it right :)
