Just when Jinjer were falling to the back of everyones mind and other bands started taking the attention, they return and reclaim their throne instantaneously. Every album they make is a new journey I cant wait to hear the rest of it.
My god, how they are evolving! It’s so refreshing to see a band not beholden to trends or genre expectations. The impact of Vlad (drummer) on the evolution of their sound cannot be overstated. In addition to being an elite drummer, he is also a classically trained pianist and a damn good guitar player. They said in the livestream yesterday that Vlad composed 80% of the music on the forthcoming album, Wallflowers. This band will continue find a larger audience and we’ll all remember when we saw them in small clubs and got to take pictures and say hi at meet & greets.
You know, lots of oldschool Jinjer fans don't welcome their new sound and Vlad's influence. Some of them prefer "Tati with dreadlocks" Jinjer, another prefer KOE sound. They are nagging now that the new song is like the extension of "Macro" and they don't like the fact. But as for me it's a strong feature of the band. They are different, they are evolving, they don't do what the fans willing. They are walking thier's own way. They could choose not the best direction once but it's OK. If you are keep walking you will find the way out. If you are stuck with some well-tuned sound - well, you are just stuck.
@@boxychubbo6922 Yeah, to clarify that, when I said larger audience I meant there will be some more people who dig what they’re doing, but not bigger in terms more popular headliners whose sound is more consistent and reliant on hooks and format with patterned verses and chorus structure. I imagine Jinjer’s music will always be too unorthodox and challenging for the masses. I’m a fan of their whole repertoire and have found the evolution of their approach and overall sound to be very interesting. Many do not feel the same, and that’s fine. There are plenty of bands out there doing the same thing over and over.

Jinjer don't, they try to find out something new. It could be worse than the previous attempt but it's an attempt to create something new instead of recreate something successful.That's what I call pure creation.

But damn, Vortex and Wallflower are on my top chart. I love Dmitry and the drummer from Inhale Do Not Breath, but Vlad is ma' man, he's a legend and has the best beard in the entire game.
The thing I love about this band is that you never really know what to expect from them, except that it will have their unmistakable sound. Can't wait for this album to come out!
To start out, I am a 51 y/o lifelong metal head, I was listening to Iron Maiden in 82-83 and have seen the music transform in a good way ever since. I gotta say, Jinjer is one of those bands that just changes everything else going forward - amazing talent, amazing creativity and the "sound" that is needed to move the needle creating a new path. I was scrolling through your other videos and came across a Down song! Down was great and Phil being in Pantera was truly the last needle mover in my eyes - Pantera changed the landscape. I am a little disappointed to see no Slaughter to Prevail in your catalogue of fine work. Please see what the finer progression of Death/Deathcore have become. Slaughter to Prevail - Demolisher - then - Baba Yaga. They are bringing many influences in and making an impact. Many say they are "Slipknot"-like sounding. Highly recommended! Keep up the great work! Didn't really realize I tend to check out certain reactors more than others, and it seems to be that I find their messages on point and their opinions valid and valued! Part of the reason I really enjoy watching you two is the way he gets so animated and into the music at the heaviest moments... the wide-eyed stunned silence during Tatiana's drawn out growl "Swirl!" I must admit was even more satisfying. As you pointed out, she is indeed an introvert and I agree this is how she 'breaks out'. You've seen their live recordings, you'll notice during many of the most intense parts of songs she'll flash this big smile in a one second break in her vocals. I believe these 4 were just meant to play together. They complement each other so well and to me this track proves they've continued to evolve. As much as I love this song, from what the band has said this likely won't be their best from this album.
Surprising, such a deep dive into Jinjer reactions, and no Pisces or I Speak Astronomy. Watched/ liked the whole list! Jinjer has been my new obsession for the past 3 months since I first heard them.

Late to the party, just wanted to say you nailed it perfectly with the introvert/stage monster dichotomy insight, her stage expression being a vent or catalyst accounting for her intro nature and all the fears and anxieties that stem from that kind of character, I agree completely. I mean, it's confusing at start but it makes perfect sense.
SWIRL I instantly was able to apply this to my life. The calm that life was before Clovid to how everything has morphed into this stress ball of life. I see the black hole as me (Tatiana) taking in all the stress and when the black hole pulses with her voice it's me/her trying to release the toxins and the outcome is that monster/creature representing all that stress/crap. I've been bingeing vortex reactions of for the last two days. I think the lyrics coupled with the video are describing an anxiety/panic attack. Speaking from experience you feel like a ton of weight is pressing on you from all sides compounded by debilitating dizziness. That can feel like you're being pulled into a vortex.
