I have to agree with you Joshua, although I would add that exploitive play applies to online as well. $10/$20 with $2,000 max buy in is the highest stakes I've played online and someone that says there aren't vulnerable fish at that level are probably themselves the fish lbvs. You have even a few people at that level willing to just throw chips at just about anything, whether it's because they're super rich or just different players steaming at different times idk but I've been the benefactor a few times of play like that. I've also fallen victim to them getting lucky too. It's poker, what are you gonna do🤷

At the time he had little experience with cash games and was doing weird things trying to be unpredictable and balance his range not taking into account the fact that each game would only last like 2 hours max meaning the number of hands each player went through was really small

poker was so much more fun. not just the personalities but the game itself...before computers "solved" the game and the young "wizards" analyzed the solvers sucking the life out of it.

He was the best player at the table. They dont play many hands in these sessions. His plays look bad because he ran into his opponent just getting there.
He also was planning to play on day 2 and they asked him to step in on day 1 at the last minute. So he decided to bring a small buy-in to preserve enough for day 2. His small stack meant he had to play tighter than normal. Afte day 1, they said you play so tight you cant play day 2, he was pissed. He of course won $10 million online grinding nose bleed cash at that point but I am sure you know best.
A lot of the old school pros weren’t Happy when Phil taught those really interested in learning how to play GTO. He was the reason I never had to work throughout college. In high school it was making 10 pokerstars accounts a day with promo codes and running up what I could. Eventually I had to ask every aunt, uncle and neighbor I had for their IDs but it worked out….. learned how to play micro stakes was easier.
