The thought of the owner of this Ioniq 6 seeing Lorraine crawl through narrow opening in the trunk makes me chuckle 😄
    Awesome review as always!

Great review. I bought the rear wheel extended range (361 miles) version and I love it! I am also sold on one pedal driving (golf cart mode). Interesting note about the wasted space under the frunk. I would love to see an after market expanded frunk, assuming there is no technical reason for the space.

The frunk could have been bigger, but the US requires an opening mechanism inside the frunk, if it is too big.
Hyundai didn't want to add that mechanism, so the US only gets the small frunk.
In Europe, the RWD versions have a bigger frunk, around 50 liters.

    I was already worried.
I'm always happy to see you in a video.
You have a very friendly way of introducing the cars.
Thank you very much, have a nice Sunday and greetings from Switzerland.

09:41 peak charging rate is not really a good metric for comparing charge speed.
It's all about sustained charge power. For example, 10-80% charge time would be a better indicator for charge speed.

¡Qué bueno! Always makes me happy to see you've uploaded an episode, Lorena. I like the Ioniq 6, but -well… unlike you- I much prefer a hatchback like the Ioniq 5 rather than a sedan with a trunk. Can't beat that charging speed of the Ioniqs -if you can find an EA charger that's reliable! I just hope that the company will commit to transition to NACS -like other EV makers.

As always, thanks again for sharing. Now that I’m back in Thailand, after being gone six months, I’ve noticed that the Chinese EV market is really flooding this country. So many brands to choose from and very inexpensive. Time will tell of their quality, but the doors feel and sound solid.

This seems like a nice sedan, but that price needs to improve. Low 40's should be the top end trims and starting should be ~30k.

I think the key fob design is cute 🤷‍♂ I guess it would work better with matte plastic though.

Not sure if you tried any Level 2 charging above 32 amps, but if so did the J1772 vehicle plug overheat and stop charging? This is a widespread issue among the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 which share the same E-GMP setup as the Ioniq 6. The only other vehicle I know of with central window controls is a Jeep Wrangler.

Some of the old Saabs had central window controls as well. Those were great cars!

CalasEV - IONIQ 6 is an OK car, IF they hope to Compete w/ TESLA Hyundai/KIA/Genesis will need a new LEAN Design platform , hopefully using Gigacastings , 4680 cells, and Structural battery.
the Hyundai e-GiMP platform is still GAS based , and needs Updating.

I've always loved the Ioniq5, but this 6 is just too impractical and ugly CLA-ish in its styling. If the Ioniq5 had Tesla's interior and charging, I would be driving an Ioniq5 right now. Could never even consider the 6.
