Ok, finally after 3 years since I first saw this video I managed to master this tutorial!.. My advice: If you're just a piano beginner like me, don't start learning with this video, it literally takes YEARS to learn, start with something easier!
At first it sounds like crazy circus music, then below 2000 it starts sounding like music and below 1500 it starts sounding nice. I never thought 400 bpm could seem slow. Then around 100 bpm I think "okay, it's almost at the end" and then I look and it's not even halfway done. Almost a third of the video is the final 10 bpm. This was surreal.
Who knew that your heart dying sounded half-decent?
This is what the teachers call “bad tempo keeping”
Madeline Zhang idk man
Thank you
I do the opposite:/
I noticed in the 9000s and 8000s it sounds like a fairground organ, in the 7000s through the 3000s it sounds like the piano is saying "wow", in the 2000s I still hear "wow" but I can start to hear separate notes. Then below about 2000 is when it sounds like arpeggios. Oh and I love how the whole second half is just the last 50 notes.
I love how piano stopped saying wow in under 2000 and 1000 bpm
it's really interesting how around 1200 bpm I suddenly start to be able to differentiate individual notes in the arpeggios, as opposed to it just being someone sliding their hand up and down a piano. wonder if there's a Psychoacoustic Phenomenon at play there, lol

This is a good way to explain exponential decay. The rate of decrease of bpm is always dependent on the bpm at that particular time.
Wouldn’t it be a quadratic and not exponential equation? The bpm is decreasing at a constant rate, so the rate’s anti derivative (bpm) is a quadratic. That might explain why the bpm will actually reach 0 after the last note (while an exponential equation would never reach zero.
@@adamhurst5027
Yes, an ideal exponential function would never reach zero. But this is a function with discrete values. The bpm is not continually decreasing, but rather in steps of 1. Thus, it reaches 0 because for the entire duration of the last note the bpm is 1 so after the last note it becomes 0. If bpm did decrease continually, the last note would be stretched out to infinity.
A quadratic is a polynomial function, not exponential. A polynomial has terms in the form of a*(x^n), while exponential is a^x, meaning x is in the exponent.
The rate of change of a quadratic is the derivative of the function while the rate of change of an exponential function is directly proportional to original function itself.
I think the formula is something like that:
Total road(notes)=initial speed×duration of the trip(play)-(decay in speee ler second)×(duration^2)
Thus:
8000.8001/2=(8000/60)t-(1.t^2)/2.60
Simly the formula:
Road=V.t-1/2(at^2)
****When I thought about it this does not hold up. The decrease is dependent on a quadratic formula as well. It is not a line.****
