Hi gareth you ok mate, that looks a lovely mark to fish. Well done on your codling and unlucky on the one that got away. All the best matey from GRIMSBY.
I'm good thanks Carl, hope you are too mate. Yeah it's a lovely mark and when the sun is shining on the cliff, it's something else. Nice to see the small Codling, always a nice sight. Cheers mate, all the best 👍👍
Good morning from Gozo Gareth or as we now call you The Welsh Womble cleaning up other peoples sht,if everyone did a little like you and the Castor boys the Welsh coast will be a better place but i suppose we have to educate the wotsits about the enviroment they live in a bit more. Congrats on your 4k subs and Cinamatography is superb mate, hope all is well,my usual catch down the Ranny was 40 winks as the sea on pebble sound used to send me to sleep so relaxing. Hope you have a great week stay healthy Gareth and good fishing Spring is near here 17c today hope it arrives with you soon.
Good morning Michael, bit of a grey one here. I seem to be picking up more rubbish than ever, the problem seems to be getting worse and that's sad. Some of the beaches at the moment are filthy and I dread to think what it'll be like in 20 years time. Thank you, I appreciate it. I give it my all and try to make a relaxing watch, it's not easy and sometimes it's infuriating but I'll keep plugging away for now ha! Yes it is a relaxing sound, hearing the water rolling in over the pebbles, I can understand why you slept! Indeed, spring is just around the corner, warmer conditions for filming, it's a nice thought! You too, hope you have a good one! Cheers as always 👍👍
Thank you Leighton. Another tough one but it's what I expected given the time of year, although it was nice to see the small Codling, it was an enjoyable day out. Appreciated as always 👍👍
Your very lucky to have not blanked yet.....I'm on a run of 4 blanks lol....but it's the getting out and fishing that counts...catching fish is "so last year" 🤣🤣🎣
Haha it's all luck Brian, I'm definitely due a blank next session! I'm sure your luck will change soon but as you say, getting out there is what it's all about! Cheers for watching 👍👍
Thank you Neil, I always look forward to fishing down there, never quite know what's going to happen. Funny bit of weather but an enjoyable day out. Cheers as always! 👍👍
Nice one Gareth mate, still no blank! brilliant content again with the music and clips, reheated spag Bol always tastes better 😁, appreciate your efforts bud👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks mate. I'm just about managing to get the odd fish, although I'm definitely due a blank now ha! It certainly does taste better the next day and was just what I needed! Cheers as always, have a good weekend 👍👍
Another fantastic video and some great advice on fishing along undercliffs like. A smashing little codling. Appreciate you taking time to post these videos.keep up the sterling work. Regards to the family
Thank you Bob, much appreciated. A tough session but enjoyable all the same and it was nice to see the Codling, always a nice sight. A pretty mark is the Ranny and I always look to going back. Cheers for watching 👍👍

Thank you Andrew, always a pleasure. Yes you're right there, a fish is a fish regardless of the size. Just nice being out there ain't it, being next to the water and taking it all in. Have a good weekend mate 👍👍
Thank you Richard. An enjoyable session despite the fishing being slow. Yes you're right, I seem to be picking up more rubbish than ever which is sad really. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Thank you mate, always a pleasure. Ha yes, the Codling came to the rescue on what was a tough session. Enjoyable all the same though! Enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thanks Carl. Another blank saver at the end ha, I was pleased to see the Codling, even though it was a small one. Hopefully things will pick up soon, spring just around the corner. Cheers mate 👍👍
Thank you Richie, appreciated as always. Another tough session but I just about managed to scrape through ha, the small Codling was a welcome site. Enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thank you Craig. Ah yes, I bet you have some nice memories of when you and your dad used to fish it. Lovely mark isn't it, very picturesque and I always look forward to going back. Cheers as always 👍👍
Well done gareth on saving the blank, fully deserved codling.wish every one would do there bit and clear up there rubbish,we have a beautiful country lets keep it that way.
Thank you Brian. Another tough session but I was pleased to see that Codling ha! I seem to be picking up more and more rubbish these days, sad really. As you say, we really do have a beautiful country. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Another enjoyable watch Gareth! Loved the music you put to the pics. You bring nature to life! Your perseverance paid off with a nice codling. Well Done. Thank-you once again for sharing Take Care and tight lines 🎣
Thank you Peter, another tough session but the Codling saved the day ha! An enjoyable day out at one of my favourite marks, I always look forward to going back. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thanks Phil. Another tough one but the Codling came to the rescue ha! It's a lovely mark, one of the prettiest, especially on a nice day. Cheers as always, have a good weekend 👍👍
Well done Gareth on beating the blank. I fished just down from there Thursday afternoon and was lucky enough to land a 4lb codling second cast. Not another bite for the rest of the session but I didn’t mind after that!
Thanks mate, another tough session but I was pleased to see the small Codling ha! Well done on the 4lber, that's a nice fish in fairness and I'm not surprised you weren't bothered about not getting another bite afterwards! Cheers as always 👍👍
Looked a cracking day Gareth, nice to see a sea mist rolling in and you keep finding the blank beaters, on a roll mate. Not tried the Ranny before but on my list at some point. Enjoy your week mate, take care. 👍
It certainly was Matt, a bit dark early on which made the filming a little tricky but it soon brightened up. Another tough session but the small Codling saved the day haha, next session will most definitely be a blank, it's due! Thank you mate, have a good one. Cheers 👍👍
Thank you Jon. An old favourite of mine is the Ranny, can be productive on its day, picturesque too. Another tough session but enjoyable all the same. Thank you once again for the donation, it is very much appreciated. Cheers 👍👍
A lovely little codling. Never thought of fishing there, so good to know that location. I generally lure fish for Bass and had my beach caster for years, and squid and the likes in the freezer, but to this very minute not gone out with it at all, as never cast one. I keep watching your technique, which makes it look easy, but I think I would end up messing it up. I am just going to have to watch more of your videos 🙂
Thanks Nathan, it's a lovely mark and one of my favourites. It can produce some good fish on its day, although one for the smaller tides as the rip is too strong on the bigger tides. I'm sure you'd be fine, it's like riding a bike and you never forget it. I don't do much lure fishing for Bass as where I live, the waters are murky but hopefully I'll fish the Gower a lot more this year and I can use the lighter gear. Cheers for watching! 👍👍
Hello Gareth, great intro shots and music, sets then scene very well. Well done on catching one, difficult to catch this time of the year around South Wales. Your hard work is much appreciated and brings great viewing to us all. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Rob, always a pleasure. Another tough session but a nice day out, I was pleased to see the small Codling at the end ha. Lovely mark and one of my favourites, I'm looking forward to going back. Yes indeed, it's hard going at the moment but with spring just around the corner, things will hopefully pick up soon. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
@@riversidewithme great just to get out I use to fish Cardiff foreshore as a kid with my grandad and uncle I fish gold cliff now as I live in Newport and penarth front and bendericks hope to met you on the bank some time
Nice video Gareth 👍 The weather was gloomy one minute and bright the next, just like the fishing, Well done on the codling, a nice blank saver 🎣 I’m having a trip over to wales next month to do some fishing, I’ll let you know how I get on All the best pal 👍
Thanks Nigel, I'm just about managing to scrape through at the moment ha. Ah yes, the weather was all over the place, made filming a bit tricky but it was quite nice watching the fog coming in. Nice one, hope you catch a few and I shall look forward to the fishing report! Cheers mate, enjoy the weekend! 👍👍
Thanks mate, it really is a beautiful mark there, one of my favourites. Nice to see the Codling at the end, just nice to be out though as we always say. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Yes definitely, can never quite tell what's going to happen ha! Lovely mark though isn't it, I always look forward to going back. Cheers for watching Garry, much appreciated 👍👍
Awesome Gareth, what a stunning location. Looked really similar to some of our coastline, very jurassic. You are fishing really well mate, no blanks yet this year, that's really great buddy. Thank you for your time in making these videos bud, they are really enjoyable. All the best👍👍🎣🎣🙏🙏
Thanks Dylan, appreciated as always mate. It certainly is a lovely mark, been going there for years now and always feel good after a session. Ha yeah, no blanks yet but I can guarantee that the next session will be a blank, it's due!! I'm hoping to hit the Gower within the next few weeks, another lovely part of the world. Hope you have a good week, take it easy! 👍👍🙏
Awesome video gareth as always bud, you certainly capture our shoreline well with your intros. Your getting really good at it, thanks for sharing once again, I'm out in the morning too wet a line off the boat.. tight lines ..
Thank.you Keith, always appreciated. Another tough session but enjoyable all the same. A lovely mark and it's just nice being there. Good luck on the boat, hope you catch a few. Cheers 👍👍
@@riversidewithme yer always great videos garth I used to live in barry but down in devon maybe next time your down in Brixham ill pop over and fish with u
Nice video Gareth . Watching you it’s like therapy for you reminiscing the good old days with dad . Keep up the good work I love the journey u take us on . Many thanks 👍
Thank you James, I appreciate it. Pleased to hear that you're finding the videos therapeutic, hopefully more reminiscing to come ha! Cheers for watching 👍👍
Thank you Ben, it was an enjoyable day out at a nice venue. Hard going again but I was pleased to see the small Codling, always a nice sight. Cheers mate, appreciated as always 👍👍
Yes Gareth another cracking vid had some good days at the Ranny lovelly codling well done incredible the mist, great tips tackle tides bait ext and certainly safety im with you on the rubbish drives me crazy keep it up Gareth top job all the best 😁👍🏻
Thank you Paul. A nice mark isn't it, something unique about it. Another tough session but an enjoyable day out, it was nice to see the small Codling towards the end. Not good is it, the sad thing is that I seem to be picking up more litter than ever, getting worse. Cheers as always, much appreciated! 👍👍
Nice one Gareth. Codling saved the blank, I,m out tomorrow, bass will be the target. Flu and gout gone so it,s time to go fishing, look after yourself, and all the best 👍.
Thanks mate, another blank saver ha! Just about scraping through at the moment! Glad you're feeling better and hopefully you'll catch a few tomorrow...tight lines 👍👍
Gareth I'm loving your videos keep them coming, my dad showed me how to sea fish we went many places It's so nice I can bring back old memories from your content keep them coming
Thank you Les, always a pleasure. I'm pleased to hear that the videos are bringing back some nice memories for you, good stuff. I like it down there, an old favourite of mine. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thanks Scott, a nice little blank saver there ha! Yes it is, lovely mark and an old favourite of mine. That will be good tomorrow, I'm sure you'll get a few Plaice...tight lines mate 👍👍
Hi Gareth, Hope all’s well with you. Lovely little Codling to save the blank. It saddens me to see so much rubbish on our beaches I dread to think what things will be like in years to come ☹️all we can do is play our own little part so cheers for that ... Thanks mate take care 👍🎣🎣
Thank you Stephen, another tough session but the Codling saved the day ha! Lovely mark there, one of the prettiest we have, especially when the sun is shining on the cliff. Upsetting isn't it and the amount of rubbish on the beaches is increasing, I seem to be picking up more than ever which is very sad. Cheers as always, take it easy 👍👍
Thank you Roger, always a pleasure. Another tough session but I enjoyed it, a nice place to spend a few hours. Was nice to see the small Codling towards the end. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Another quality video gareth thank you .I’m looking forward to a session in Norfolk in may im up there for a ska music weekend but always find time to wet a line
Thanks Andy, always appreciated. Another tough session but enjoyable all the same. The Norfolk trip sounds good, it's on my to-do list, hopefully this year with a bit of luck. Hope you enjoy it, cheers 👍👍
Hi Gareth nice video keep up the hard work we were talking to you in the carpark before we went down my mate had a couple of nice bites but didn't come to anything there's always next time take care
Thank you Russell, much appreciated. A tough session but enjoyable all the same. Nice talking to you in the carpark, no doubt I'll bump into you again at some point! Ah not to worry, just nice being out ain't it, that's what it's all about for me nowadays. Cheers for watching, take it easy 👍👍
Hi gareth mate one again another cracking video 👍👍lovely to see you fishing the Ranny too it's a venue that can throw some decent fish up on its day..keep up the good work mate I look forward to watching your next video have a lovely weekend
Thank you Nathan, appreciated as always. Yes definitely, I like the Ranny as you never know what's going to happen. Another tough session but it was nice to see the small Codling, a nice sight. You too mate, have a good one! 👍👍
What a lovely venue that place is, will definitely have to have to wet a line there one day. Always nice to see the codling popping up in my opinion one of the most beautiful fish in the channel, we do get them quite a bit by the old bridge, last year loads barely 3/4 of a lb now odd ones between 1 1/2 and 3 lb but no matter what size they’re always welcome. Great video as always Gareth hope you have a great weekend
It certainly is a beautiful venue mate and when the sun is shining on the cliffs, it's something else. Can be great on its day, throws up some nice fish and you never know what could turn up. Yes I agree, a pretty fish and always a welcome site. Can't argue with fish between 1 1/2 and 3lbs, well done for that. I used to fish up by the old bridge a lot but haven't been there this winter, I need to make another visit. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
'Let's see what happens' you say Gareth, and straight away a shot of the incoming Nesquick chocolate-milk seawater that is the blight of my life. Of course, some people like it, particularly if they fish for rays, and congers, and cod, or just plain everyday fish, but for me, obstinately spinning, and lure fishing along this coast, it's a nightmare. Mercifully, it starts to clear a bit from Lavernock on, and I have had bass up to my PB of 7lb on the nose, just along a bit, but when I get to the shore (which I'm lucky enough to do, living only minutes away) at unearthly hours, and see the Nesquick, I have to force myself tackle-up and start casting. Hey ho. Anyway, nice video old sport. Take care. Raymondo.
Hi Raymond, thank you for the comment. Haha the Nesquick or as I call it, the Hot Chocolate, even though it's cold! The Severn Estuary mud is in my blood as I've fished these marks since I was a kid and so I don't mind the muddy waters. Although I do appreciate that you prefer the clearer water for the lure fishing. I must admit that clear water does make a nice change for me as there's then a chance of different species. When I go to Brixham I do a lot of lure fishing and it's very productive. I love the Gower area and hopefully I can get diwn there more often this summer with the lure rod. Well done on the 7lb Bass, that's a nice fish and no doubt you'll get a few more! Cheers for watching, much appreciated! 👍👍
@@riversidewithme My PB bass was actually taken around the corner at the Bendricks which is a favourite spot of mine, but don't tell no-one Gareth, or it'll be tickets only there. Raymondo.
Another nice video Gareth, some lovely scenery shots and you didn't blank , unlike me I went out on a lake in our boat yesterday and didn't even catch a snag😂But I'll keep going ,once again thanks for the video and have a good weekend , cheers.
Thank you Phil, it's a lovely mark, one of the most picturesque along our coastline and it can fish well on its day. Ah not to worry, no doubt you'll get a few fish soon, all in good time! You too, enjoy it! 👍👍
Sorry to hear you weren't well. I wondered where you went, good effort. hard this time of year. sully island is a good mark for the late cod going back down the channel. I've had some nice fish there over the years. but not an easy venue.
Thanks Allen, feeling much better now. I got flu and it knocked me out for a few weeks. Yes I agree, Sully does tend to produce some late Winter Cod. I do fish it throughout the although I tend to leave the camera in the house if I go there. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Thank you Kevin, appreciated as always. Yes definitely, it seems that no two days are ever the same down the Ranny. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Cracking video as usual gareth. lovely coding to save the blank looks a nice spot may have to give it a go soon. hope your ok can't wait to see your next video really enjoyable tight lines and stay safe 👍👍
Thank you Jon. Another tough session but it was still an enjoyable day out, the small Codling was a very welcome sight ha! Yeah give it a try, it's a lovely mark, although save it for the smaller tides as the rip is strong on the bigger ones. Cheers as always, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thanks Adam, much appreciated. So you park at the end of Fort Road opposite the church, then walk along the path to the left until you see a little gap/path down onto the pebble beach, walk for another few minutes or so and you're there. 10 minute walk in total from where you park. I wouldn't fish it on anything bigger than a 9.8m tide...it's a venue for the smaller tides. Cheers 👍👍
Great vid again Gareth! It's been a long time since I wet a line at The Ranny. We've got some great fishing marks on the Welsh side of the Bristol Channel. People often drive for miles for their sea fishing, and there's loads of great places at our doorstep. You're on a catching streak at the moment, and at the worst time of year too!
Yes you're right there mate, we certainly do have some special marks close by, many of which I've been fishing since I was a kid. I do love the Ranny, never quite know what could turn up. Ha yes, I'm just about managing to scrape through, one fish a session but that will do me. Cheers as always, have a good weekend 👍👍
Great spot there, on it’s day like you say, I was there about 2 weeks ago we managed a 3 pound codling , it was great to be back there . Great vid again 👍👍 the weather broke through eventually, nice little codling to save the day. Look forward to the next one already lol 👍👍👍
Well done on the 3 pounder Neil, that's a nice fish. Lovely mark isn't it, very picturesque, especially when the sun is out. A tough session but I was pleased to see that Codling ha, a welcome sight. An enjoyable session and I'm looking forward to going back. Cheers mate, enjoy the weekend! 👍👍
One of them days Gareth but saved the blank, well done 👍 it seems to be the same every where hit or miss but yeah many a session I've had nothing at the beginning and then right at the end I catch a fish still good fun lol
Yeah that's it Mark, it does seem to be the same everywhere at the moment, things will hopefully pick up soon. Ha yes, often the way isn't it, nothing for hours and then a random fish, has happened to me many a time! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Well done Gareth great seeing you catch a fish I feel exactly the same about all the rubbish at the beaches a quick question when is it a good time to go out fishing again ?
Thank you Adrian, always a pleasure. Upsetting isn't it, seeing all the litter, seems to be getting worse. Well things should start picking up from mid March, few different species should start to move in then. It's hard work at the moment locally. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Thank you Martin, much appreciated. Well done on the Flounder, can't fault it. I love Farmfields, I'm hoping to get down there shortly. Glad you're in a better place mate, enjoy the weekend! 👍👍
That fog was incredible. Heavy one moment and gone the next. It disappeared so much that you could see Steep and Flat Holm and even the Somerset Coast toward the end. I have had quite a lot of luck when fishing in fog before but obviously a different part of the world. Always glad when you catch something for your effort. As usual, thanks for the video and will wait patiently for the next.
Ah yes David, the fog was in a funny mood that day, just kept appearing out of the blue. Made filming a nightmare but it was nice at the same time ha. Yeah definitely, always better fishing when it's foggy/darker, proper Cod weather as we used to say. Only a small Codling but it was very welcome as I didn't think it was going to happen! Cheers for watching, take it easy! 👍👍
Thank you Geoff, that's nice of you to say. I'm quite critical of my videos but it's good to hear that you're enjoying them, hopefully more to come soon. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Yes I would agree with you there Kevin, nothing like it was years ago. Cod were almost guaranteed during the Winter months. Commercial overfishing is to blame in my opinion, the stocks have been smashed, so wrong. Cheers for watching mate 👍👍
another crackin video butty your mix of fishing as it really is with the mix of scenery is brilliant as i said before the wales tourist board should employ you as an ambassador for the south wales coastline keep up the good work butt
Thank you Richard, appreciated as always, that's nice of you you say. Haha the problem with me working for the wales tourist board is that I'd be tempted to fish all of the time, instead of doing the filming! Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Thanks mate, another tough session but enjoyable all the same, I love it down there. Ah yes a spring run would be great, I guess there's always hope! Enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Awsome. The rannys abit out of my way.. but its back to nells tommorrow.. for lowtide.. going to catch flatties and rays.. with my new rods and stand and new rigs made with Reel Minds.. hope once again to be on the mark that catches me a fish.. with the wind at my back and break in the rain.. looking forward to it even if i blank.. keep inspiring us.. 🥰
Thanks mate. Good luck at Nell's tomorrow, I reckon you'll get a couple of fish, cracking mark there. Hopefully the rigs will do the trick. I'm having a weekend off but will hopefully be out in the week. Cheers as always, tight lines! 👍👍
Not one of your better days Gareth but hey you beat the blank mate 👍 nice little codling it was too. Never fished there before but I thought it looked quite promising when you first arrived. Hopefully it'll be more productive on your next trip mate 🤞🤞
Thanks Alan, another tough one but the Codling saved the day ha. It can be a great mark on its day but a tough time of the year at the moment. Yeah give it a go sometime, one for the smaller tides. Cheers as always mate! 👍👍
Thank you Stuart, much appreciated. So you park at the end of Fort Road opposite the church, then walk along the path to the left until you see a little gap/path down onto the pebble beach, walk for another few minutes or so and you're there. One for the smaller tides though. Cheers 👍👍
Great cinematography again. One question, when you throw out the kitchen sink, do you use a 4/0 hook, how much bait elastic do you use and what do you hope to catch? 🙂
Thanks mate, wasn't sure if I'd be able to get decent footage because of the fog but the sun broke through every now and then. Yeah I started off with size 4/0 on each rig, hoping for a good Cod with bigger baits because I've had good ones there before. I like to use the old school bait elastic, medium grade, as I can't get on with the modern stuff. I use enough but not loads of it. Cheers as always! 👍👍
Hi Gareth nice little cod well done, when are you thinking of coming down to newton beach I will meet you and have a session and give you the bits I've made for your next giveaway they are all ready to go to someone lucky winner
Thanks David, another tough session but I was pleased to see the small Cod, a welcome sight indeed. Ok thank you, very good. I'm hoping to fish Porthcawl soon, it's been a while. Was meant to fish it in January but then I got ill. Cheers as always, have a good weekend! 👍👍
It's just next to Lavermock Dylan So you park at the end of Fort Road opposite the church, then walk along the path to the left until you see a little gap/path down onto the pebble beach, walk for another few minutes or so and you're there. One for the smaller tides though. Cheers 👍👍
Great video, mate.👍👍👍👍
Cheers mate. Another tough session but still a nice day out at one of my favourite marks 👍👍
Good way to save the blank mate good video again
Thanks Owen, another bit of ebb blank saving ha! An enjoyable session though, lovely mark. Cheers for watching 👍👍

Well Done mate 🎣👍
Thank you Stephen. Another tough session but enjoyable all the same. Cheers for watching 👍👍
No blank, well done. It’s unbelievable how much rubbish is on our beaches, great to see you doing your bit.
Thank you Richard. An enjoyable session despite the fishing being slow. Yes you're right, I seem to be picking up more rubbish than ever which is sad really. Cheers for watching 👍👍

Well done on beating the blank and thanks again for sharing
Thank you Richie, appreciated as always. Another tough session but I just about managed to scrape through ha, the small Codling was a welcome site. Enjoy the weekend 👍👍
Nice one Gareth, have fished there in over 15 years, take some back to when me and my dad and family used to fish most weekends together
Thank you Craig. Ah yes, I bet you have some nice memories of when you and your dad used to fish it. Lovely mark isn't it, very picturesque and I always look forward to going back. Cheers as always 👍👍
Another good video. Cheers.
Thanks mate, I appreciate it. One of my favourite marks. Cheers 👍👍
As usual brilliant job mate thoroughly enjoyed this
Thanks Steve. Another tough one but I just about managed to scrape through ha. An enjoyable day out though. Cheers as always 👍👍
Another enjoyable watch Gareth! Loved the music you put to the pics. You bring nature to life!
Your perseverance paid off with a nice codling. Well Done.
Thank-you once again for sharing
Take Care and tight lines 🎣

Great Video Gareth , Stunning shots of the Coast / Estuary line ?, love it ,and you saved the day once more with a pretty Codling . Many thanks Phil😊
Thanks Phil. Another tough one but the Codling came to the rescue ha! It's a lovely mark, one of the prettiest, especially on a nice day. Cheers as always, have a good weekend 👍👍
Another great vid Gareth your fishing is an inspiration to new boys like myself
Thank you Mike, I'm pleased to hear that you're finding the videos useful, good stuff. Good luck with your fishing adventures! Cheers 👍👍
And its peaceful relaxing and calming and romantic
Cheers 👍👍
Well done Butty as you say don’t know unless you go brill vid again gareth👍
Thanks love the scenery some great marks and good tips
Loved the video and loved your effort to clean the beach. Well done 👍
Thank you Nathan, much appreciated. Shame about the litter, I seem to be picking up more than ever. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Top man loving the videos keep up the hard work 🎣
Thank you Nathan, much appreciated. Hopefully more to come soon. Cheers 👍👍
Great video as always 👍
Thanks mate. A tough session but I was pleased to see the Codling, small but very welcome. Cheers 👍👍

All the best pal 👍
Thanks Nigel, I'm just about managing to scrape through at the moment ha. Ah yes, the weather was all over the place, made filming a bit tricky but it was quite nice watching the fog coming in. Nice one, hope you catch a few and I shall look forward to the fishing report! Cheers mate, enjoy the weekend! 👍👍
Another brilliant video Gareth nice coding no blank happy days
Thanks Andy, another tough session but still enjoyable, I was pleased to see the Codling ha. Cheers mate 👍👍
Great session and fantastic video as always, lovely codling saved the blank. Looks a great fishing mark. Tight Lines for the next one.🤞

1 of my favourite marks, totally agree with the can be great on this tide and rubbish on the next mind.
Another great video Gareth. Always great to watch and love the enthusiasm. Keep them coming!

Another quality video gareth thank you .I’m looking forward to a session in Norfolk in may im up there for a ska music weekend but always find time to wet a line

Thank you Gary for the video you take care as well.🎣🎣🎣🎣👍
You're welcome Paul. Cheers as always and take it easy 👍👍
Well done Gareth , another great video , another day and you'd be shattered from pulling cod . Keep them coming mate tight lines
Thank you Kevin, appreciated as always. Yes definitely, it seems that no two days are ever the same down the Ranny. Cheers for watching, enjoy the weekend 👍👍
You too mate, I'm still yet to wet a line as my other half is getting over a big operation , one day soon 👍
@@kevinthomas8029 Thanks mate. Hope your other half makes a speedy recovery. No doubt you'll be out there again soon.
@@riversidewithme thanks Gareth I will keep an eye on the tides 👍
Cracking Vid again Gareth;
Just a quick one - how far is it to walk from the car to that mark? And what's the maximum tide it's fishable on??
@@riversidewithme thanks for the info and keep making these great videos 😊👍🎣
Nice effort gar ,you got to be out there trying ,fished farm fields in the week two nice flounders great to be out and in a better place mate x
Thank you Martin, much appreciated. Well done on the Flounder, can't fault it. I love Farmfields, I'm hoping to get down there shortly. Glad you're in a better place mate, enjoy the weekend! 👍👍
Ye nice place muddy tho ,did fish it high tide couple weeks ago on bigger tides down of rocks had a bass looks good for future tho
Well done Gareth, keep them coming

Nice to see the Codling saving the day for you Gareth, i've noticed over the years that the ranny is getting more and more difficult to catch from....
@@riversidewithme thank you for your reply gareth it means a lot
Well done that man !!! The Ranny has been very quiet all winter , fingers crossed for a a spring run :-)

That was the sun of cod
It could well have been ha! Thanks for watching Mark 👍
Excited.. I'm going to watch it now.. give you the verdict in a bit

Hi Gareth cracking as allylaws where did u park to get to the beach thanks
Thank you Stuart, much appreciated. So you park at the end of Fort Road opposite the church, then walk along the path to the left until you see a little gap/path down onto the pebble beach, walk for another few minutes or so and you're there. One for the smaller tides though. Cheers 👍👍
Cheers m8
Great cinematography again. One question, when you throw out the kitchen sink, do you use a 4/0 hook, how much bait elastic do you use and what do you hope to catch? 🙂
Thanks mate, wasn't sure if I'd be able to get decent footage because of the fog but the sun broke through every now and then. Yeah I started off with size 4/0 on each rig, hoping for a good Cod with bigger baits because I've had good ones there before. I like to use the old school bait elastic, medium grade, as I can't get on with the modern stuff. I use enough but not loads of it. Cheers as always! 👍👍
@@riversidewithme yeah, I've only used it a couple of times and it's hard to tell when your bait is secure without using too much.
I always end up collecting a bag of rubbish wherever I fish, it’s so frustrating.😡
It certainly is frustrating mate and the problem seems to be getting worse, such a shame.

does it need to be windy not still .. great video despite the actual fishing
Windy best for cod fishing mate and for many other fish too. Although when I'm filming, it's much easier when it's calm ha! Cheers for watching 👍👍
well done Gareth, Lavernock is on my to fish list so some great advice there regarding tide height and being cut off.👍
Thanks Paul, it's a nice area in fairness, one for the smaller tides as the rip on the big tides is too strong. Cheers for watching 👍👍
Where is this mark Gareth
It's just next to Lavermock Dylan
So you park at the end of Fort Road opposite the church, then walk along the path to the left until you see a little gap/path down onto the pebble beach, walk for another few minutes or so and you're there. One for the smaller tides though. Cheers 👍👍
Over trawling by foreign boats doesn't help
Definitely. It's an absolute disgrace and I can't believe that it still goes on. Cheers Mark 👍👍
