Yes Dr strange character meditates, talks about dimensions, spirituality which is similar to Hinduism philosophy .. But its more shown as an buddhist but ofc Buddhism came from Hinduism so it has similarity

See ,the indian history and hindu lores and mythology and scriptures dates back to thousands of years atleast 3000-4000 and even more. Also the oldest known languages today are sanskrit and tamil. avatar is a sanskrit word. But we r quite late to making these type of movies becoz of the different problems our country faced. The west the has already taken many inspirations from our culture, texts made movies before us. So it may be a known concept to west but for us it is quite new and unique becoz our culture was never presented at such a large scale cinema before.
