It was done before her marriage so she left the child in a basket to flow it in the river. After marriage both Kunti and Madri used the spell to summon Gods to father the children. Kunti had three and Madri had two. They were collectively called the Pandavas.
Just to clarify, Mahabharata was written thousands and thousands of years ago and that depicted Ashwathama was born with a gemstone of many powers on his forehead. Writers of Marvel comics were inspired by this and adapted that idea for one of their superheroes. They just introduced that in the cinema first and most unfortunately you guys have watched that previously before Kalki. That is why the question of similaritiy emerged.
