After I raised up to 325k trading with her I bought a new House and a car here in the states 🇺🇸🇺🇸 also paid for my son's surgery (Oscar). Glory to God.shalom.
When i bump into my neighbour's n they say, 'Did ya see ? In todays papers?', i say 'No i wouldn't believe the date in them, they're full of rubbish' they look at me n hurry off 👍

One lesson I have learned is that sometimes small talk is all people have, maybe it's what they need, maybe they can't bear to go deep as they are healing or going through something. I used to get annoyed by it because I like to go deep even with strangers but it's not all about me and my needs. Saying that when it happens I embrace it even if its just for that moment. i likes your outlook. Mine is similar. i find small talk and humor delighful. It opens doors and sorta' "sets people free" to "connect". The one who initiates that small talk has the key to setting others free when/if they're stuck in isolation and fear. Small talk is fun. Invite others into the fun. ♥

I'm with you there Carl. I can't do small talk either, Never have, even as a kid. The thing is that I remember in my childhood that many kids did engage in deeper stuff when talking. I think it is because kids are eager to learn, given a chance, and are willing to test out their ideas at a deeper level. As I have aged, 73 now, the circle of people I feel comfortable with has shrunk considerably. My youngest brother is not too bad, but my young sister was really switched on and we could really engage at a deep level. Unfortunately cancer took her many years ago and I miss her. With all that is going on now I would love to have someone I could regularly have a face to face conversation with. All my old Army mates that I could talk freely with are scattered all over the place.
I met a lady in an antique shop. She owns the shop.. we atarted talking and I was so surprised to meet one like her out there who was so aware of things going on.💞👍
I've learned in life that the friends you have deep conversations with arent the ones who will stick around if your going through a crisis. The best friends in that situation are the practical, hands on, get things done type of people.

I get into deep conversations with strangers, mainly past issues, I try and help if I can. Unfortunately not so with anyone close to me, probably because superficiality was the standard in my family and relatives, it was like living in Jane Austen novel, visiting my great aunts we had tea and cake with a napkin and a fork, a look of horror or vexed comment if you didn't use a fork or napkin. 😀

It's a dance of two people trying to make out they like each other, are enjoying said conversation while revealing nothing of significance about themselves to the other person. This is apparently normal. It's a dying art form though as it gets in the way of having phone jammed in face which must be adhered to during all waking hours.

It's like people don't know how to work on themselves. Bushcraft great skill we can learn from it. In a butty shop a comment made about something stupid to the proprietor, to which he commented we are living in a mad world....BAM that was it, instant connection, we conversed about the last 5 years as if we were old mates. Most people operate on a surface level of life, because it suits them. I have always questioned things and always been called, to deep, or you think to much. started digging a lot more around 12 years ago when I realised I was being lied to constantly, and that it appeared to be excepted as normal, most people switch off when you get deep, which means a lonely existence most of the time. When your soul is touched by the truth of God, and your reconciliation with him, your on the narrow path which leads to life eternal ❤
I am currently an almost hermit. Widow, Grandma and always been an introvert. If I engage in a conversation with someone, I warn them that I am just horrible with small talk. We go from there! I miss my husband because we engaged in interesting conversations and he would trip me up by stating some most outrageous things.😃☀️
I've only had a few people on here I can do that with, none in real life. I'm too deep, too outgoing, too dominate, too open, too opinionated, and too Christian for my family and people around me. You need to engage in sections for the most part, otherwise they'll turn and start running...Meanwhile I'm older and have become ' courageous ' with my topics. The majority who listen will humour me for awhile and find a way to depart politely and those remaining ' In The Club Of No Return ' are enthrolled and full of meaningful conversation. It's hard to come across genuine people even genuine friends these days . The majority of folks have been completely sucked into the social media alter ego life , neglecting their own true self it's pretty vile to see it . They don't want to face up to anything real in the world it's all just too easy to keep lying to themselves . More bothered about getting coked up to bits and going on nights out than actually working for some real change .
UK govnmt will kill Millennials. It will strip them of all tangible assets, their money, their hopes while allowing rents and taxes to decimate them. And whos lurking behind them.. the Gen Alphas, 13 now but 25 soon, who will proceed to mock them as Millennials do to Gen X today. Only the Millennials will still be poor, desperate, lost and middle aged. And i suspect the latter description will haunt them the most.

Don't get me wrong, I talk to people and polite to keep up aqaintances but I find, now and again, you meet a person like yourself.

And sometimes you get an answer back thats interesting. I can't do two faced and collect pretend friends on fudgebook or wherever.
