Donut Media brought me here! This is now my dream car. It's perfect in every aspect for me. The fact that it can be tuned to 528 hp reliably is AMAZING. Really solid review man!
Consider it’s price at 250k Yuan which is roughly 35K USD I say it not a good deal u could get much better cars used for 35k and tuning is almost impossible for this model because there is so little info on them and literally no aftermarket company has any tuning plans for the car. The 500hp one was probably done Cyan racing which they did use it to win WTCR but as a regular individual this car would not be possible to get to 500 hp without some serious Cash
This car looks like the designer has been stacking up all of the designs he made since his childhood and finally got to design a car. But he only has one chance to design a car so he mashed every single design aspects into this one car

It’s success or failure is more likely to be based on trade tariffs. National security only comes into play on communications technology or duel role. Since most civilian cars outside of James Bond films don’t fire missiles or are not being used to build 5G wireless networks. It will come down to trade.
I'd say your title described this car pretty accurately, It's a sporty sedan, not a performance car. A cousin of mine bought one last year and sold it in 5 months. Many people considered it as the first performance car of China. But I don't think so. The safely tuned Volvo engine and the small brakes explained everything. I described it as a part-time awd Civic Si or Focus ST or Lancer Ralliart to my foreign friends. It's not at the performance car level as a Type R, an RS or an EVO. There‘s a rumor that they will make a 350+hp version of the 03 maybe with the 2022 facelift. With better brakes and stiffer suspension, it will be our 03 EVO or 03 Type R, and I will definitely get one.
I think it's hilarious that this uses a Borg Warner driveline while the mustang uses a Chinese Getrag 6 speed the self distructs even if the BW stuff may be made in China, too.

I must admit, I had no idea what this was until I saw it win the FIA World Touring Car Cup championship last year. The company is a little bit mad (in a good way) as mentioned in the video. For example, they are planning a road going 03 Cyan super saloon which weighs below 1300kg, 190+ top speed with a 2.0 4 cylinder with 530bhp Front Wheel Drive and an 8k rev limit. Madness but I love it.

When I was young, I sit in a car and I memorize all the car brands. But today, being Chinese, I would be asking,"What car is that?!" "Who made it?!" "We did?!" "Never heard of that brand!" There are so many new brands and car models coming out! 🤪
The naming looks like a Smart phone. If you just look at the name you'll think is another Chinese branded phone. But I already know this from watching a WTC Championship as they've started joining the competition last year and they're winning as well. I told myself "WHAT MADE IS THIS CAR? It's not the traditional car brand competing in this annual competition.

I had the privilege of test driving the Lynk & Co SUV probably 100 hours over 2 months on all terrain, up to 125mph on 2 mile oval track - nice vehicle... the poor man's Volvo if you like ;-}

I like it. Reminiscent of Japanese design, yet uniquely Chinese. I like things that are different.. It has nice exterior angles and the interior seems like it would be a fun and comfortable place to be. Not surprised if it's a good car.. using Volvo's technology. And for those saying they steal from Volvo.. it's actually the antithesis of stealing.. they paid for it, own it, and are rightfully using it! All the while they're letting Volvo do its thing, and remain independent. This is the way it SHOULD be done. Well done!
first laid eyes on it when I saw it in a WTCC race. interior design looks like a running shoe. exterior looks like someone took six shots of rice wine and tried to draw a KIA with one eye closed. it may be fast af and win touring car races but it's not enough for me to consider chinese cars legit.

Their race version is almost 600hp. It's raced by Team Cyan, I think.
