i guess this really only works for people with somewhat dry skin and minimal acne which is my skin type; i've never struggled with too much sebum production but i do dry up like a raisin if i don't properly hydrate my skin so so mixing oils and moisturizers into my foundation on the back of my hand before application is an absolute LIFE SAVER for my skin, it seems to also make it last longer? i'm not sure, maybe it just helps it not settle into my fine lines so much
Frr I also have this skin type and that's horrible to find a foundation or concealer that doesn't dry out every inch of my skin 😭😭 I've never tried this technique tho, hope it's gonna work for me
@@avalonsignoraalmas6150 oh my goodness I'm so glad it works for you! if you don't mind me asking, what products do you use to mix? from scrolling through the comments here it seems the success rate of whether or not the mix will work depends heavily on the formulation of the foundation and whether or not what it's made with will take in the oil, i've definitely lucked out in my foundation not getting streaky like some people's are
I have severely dry skin from using tretinoin and any kind of makeup makes my skin peel all over like crazy I wasted so much money tryna buy a hydrating foundation that wouldnt do that. But this hack literally worked so well 😭 I can finally play with makeup again Im so happy. I like using moisturizers with oil in the ingredients list to mix with my foundation rather than just oil tho
Gosh I remember this hack and it was a FAIL. Why was this brought back?? Oil breaks down a lot of cosmetics applied! Okay the thing is, you CAN use face oil for prep! If you do want to use face oil to mix, make sure its consistency is very thin or just one teeny-tiny drop. I've done this before both as prep and as moisturizing mix with makeup, but please, from personal experiences, it can go bad quick or it won't mix at all.
Maybe try more liquid foundation and also during the day i wear sunscreen and it works like a primer to fill in pores and it sits on top of the skin like a primer would.
Patrick Starr himself said to use face oil on the skin first instead of a mattifying primer (like his) and then put on the BBB & it'll be glowy but still have good coverage. Maybe you can try that?
i have yet to find a foundation that doesnt accentuate my irritated and dry skin/dry patches 😭 no matter how i prep my skin or if i mix facial oil it still looks bad lmao i guess foundation just isnt for me maybe
Your skin looks different in all the videos lol. I mean in one vid your skin is so flawless and poreless with no acne whatsoever. And videos like these, your acne and texture are so visible. Is it because of any filters?? Also didn't you rave about the One size bbb cream in one of your videos? How is it that you don't like it here??
This toner will take away all acne Just mix aloe vera Water And lavender oil Just make sure to not add to much aloevera other it is gonna be like a serum
All skin is different. Its kinda ignorant to claim you have the ONE solution for everyones acne. If acne was so easy to treat, nobody would have it. I had acne and got rid of it. Do I run around and tell people "if you do this, it will go away"? No. Cause thats not how it works. AND: Lavender oil can be irritating for the skin. Acne prone skin is often really sensitive, so use with caution
@@myname8509 i have senstive and acne prone skin and it worked for me i am.not telling this recipe by my own it was recommended by google and your are right maybe it doesnt work for some skins
You can't mix some products 🙂Some dry matte foundations have ingredients that don't mix with oil
You can mix a serum with water based products. I also use my face serum to turn eyeshadow into eyeliner.
@@ra3_ven239 but we talk about foundation, usually matte foundation is more base with silicon base
i tried this w a shiseido foundation and it worked like a dream

Not true. I have oily acne prone skin, and this works for me.

Use a hydrating primer with this one. I used the fenty hydrating primer for it and it paired well. (Don’t forget to moisturize underneath!)
Y’all should dry glossier’s future dew as prep for foundations that are too matte. It’s also a great skincare product to seal in moisture at night

I think It would look better mixed with moisturizer

Oil never mixes well with foundation. Since oil breaks up products. Some people even uses oil to remove makeup.
Can you please do a vedio on how to prep skin ? My skin look like yours in this video with every foundation I’m struggling :(

Trust me get to know your skin and find some hydrating skincare first to hydrate that skin then the makeup will go on smoother and look better
Try mixing the nivea mouisturisur i think it would work
That's so much texture!
*stonks*

Are you serious? Lavender oil is one of the LAST THINGS you should put on skin. Get out of here with that.

Not being rude but it looks really bad
I hope she still knows oils DO NOT help foundation to go smoother or some.
