The Hoover Boys metal detecting in Scotland! Hammered, silver and relics galore!!

- The Hoover Boys accepted my invite to come and metal detect the fields of Perthshire in Scotland and day 1 didn’t disappoint with some amazing finds including silver, hammered coins and relics galore!
We have got some epic permissions for them to try out with their XP DEUS 2 and Minelab Equinox 800 metal detectors over the next week including a Roman site, medieval chapel and Bronze Age and Iron Age sites too!

This is amazing!!!!! The hoover boys with you!!!!
The cherub is a copy of the "Mannekin Pis" (Dutch for Little Pissing Man) A fountain sculpture in Brussels. One story is that it's based on the tale of a boy who saved Brussels from fire by peeing on the fuse of an explosive. OR, it's a cherub playing with itself.

The lead cherub looks very like the "Manneken Pis" (Dutch for little pissing man) which is part of a fountain installed in Brussels in 1619.

I have found similar small iron ( with handle attached) and was told they were made to iron shirt collars when they used to be a separate piece from the shirt 😉🇨🇦

I can only agree. Two of my favourite channels in the same video. Hoover boys where the first to land in my YT feed back in 2022 which led to The Scottish Detectorist via Nora Svet. After watching John and the gang for a few months I bought myself a Deus II and headed for the Detectival in 2023 where I did run into John and Simon and I have been hooked ever since. /Patrik from Sweden

That triangular metal that you found looks suspiciously like the end of a belt. They often put metal tips like that on belts. Looks like it to me thanks Scotty

when did you record this awesome video? I'm asking because Kurt - who is not even in this video - has neither posted nor commented any video on both his channels in over a month. Me and probably many other metal detecting enthusiasts on RUclips just want to know if everything is ok with Kurt and the other Hoover Boys since such a long absence from RUclips seems pretty unusual for them.
