  • "I'm a good driver, I don’t need electronics to keep me safe," says the typical Malaysian driver. We beg to differ. Subaru EyeSight can be your second set of eyes on the road and if necessary, an extra foot on the brake when you drive. See it in action here.

Blind spot monitoring is also important, ain't it? Why other countries XV but our country Subaru skims on it?

Perhaps paultan can do a comparison for these ADAS systems? For example I noticed on the X50 I drive daily it has a narrow FOV to detect cars in front and have trouble detecting bikes. It also accelerates and brakes rather abruptly. It'll be good to know how Eyesight, TSS, PSDA work in the same scenarios.

Agreed with Hafriz . Good presentation and timely too. it does help alleviate fatigue on long drives . However malaysia 's MotorImage has stinged on other important feaures of the ADAS eyesight system for example ; Blind sport monitoring , lane keeping Assist , rear cross traffic alert & Braking , .....etc ..Why dont it go all the way for subarus in Malaysia ..

Bit sad that many has no experience with adas, especially the one with stop n go assist. It's at least 70% (in my own metric) more relaxing to drive the car that has it.

Should start reviewing the difference, ease of use, effectiveness and reliability between each car brand's ADAS system with actual demo

I just had an accident in a Subaru in Malaysia. Drunk idiot ran through a red light at speed and smashed into our beloved Subaru from the side. None of the eyesight stuff can deal with real-world stuff like that, which was my first and only serious car crash in 37 years of driving. It's ironic that one of the reasons my wife and I are looking at other cars instead of another Subaru is because we don't like all this intrusive tech! On the other hand the fact we were both OK with just me a cut leg, her a sore neck, is a reason to get another Subaru... and we did love the one we had. Have Honda fixed the problems with their Civic/CRV engines yet?

Lack of actual live demo of eyesight. Look at how perodua myvi boasts about having those ADAS but most of them are trash and fail as per riderath comparison video.
