I survived the whole video because you speak excellent English!. And also had test drive this, I enjoyed it very much. Nahh..I won't pick HRV over XV. In terms of driving experience and passengers comfort, XV wins by a long mile.

reviewer get me astonished more than the car, v well done, bravo i do own subaru xv myself but what most disappointing is after sales price tag for parts although not as expensive as VW but IMO still overprice compared to OEM parts... Subaru/Motor Image do provide up to 60k totally free labor & parts maintenance & up to 100k free labor which is good overall .. but I wish they would listen and appreciate their customer more by providing various options for parts replacement since free maintenance exclude some parts ; eg cabin filter ... My personal experience - No issue with the car so far since 2019... ; quite reliable and good driving experience .. although some user reported aircond issue after 3-4 years.. is it covered by warranty up to 5 years? Idk it's grey area and not really clear... my advise to potential buyer --- dont listen to marketing terms ' bumper to bumper ' warranty coverage for 5 years.. most probably it's a lie .. I feel cheated by SA once I got the booklet detailing all warranty terms not as verbally described... 5 years waranty may not including all parts unless it's stated in the subaru booklet. ask them to show you what's written, else walk away - unless you agreed with the terms! (probably it's same case for any other brand not just subaru...)
I thought it was free all the way till 5 years. We just send our car and do the services with no payment at all. So the reality is not ,am I right?
Great video! This vehicle has a really smooth engine, which I love. Wish it's not CVT. And it's one of the best looking crossover.

Looks a lot nicer than my 2014 Manual Transmission very basic Crosstrek XV. Mine is black with tan cloth seats, basic radio, seat warmers hands free phone capable, mirror compas electric mirrors, manual adjust seats.
It's my tow behind work car for RV Motorhome transport.
I bought it for the all wheel drive feature and the light weight.

I never even considered Subarus before because their interiors were just not appealing. However, this is not bad except for the very dated looking gauge cluster and also I believe no rear AC vents?

Make a comparison of that with its higher trim levels or even its other year model.
This is the highest-trim model. The 2022 XV only comes in 2.0i-P with EyeSight, with the option of the GT-Edition we drove here.
It is, obviously, better than previous iterations. It wouldn't make sense to any company if they rolled back gains made with previous models. That kind of goes without saying.

I like this car, would want to buy one, but one concern - no power boot. Can someone advise whether it is advisable to install an aftermarket power boot? is it safe?
Anything that tampers with the electrics and electronics will void the warranty.
Also the XV is not a particularly tall vehicle. A lack of a power boot is hardly an issue. Anyone can reach the tailgate.

We're surprised you mentioned "warts." We came away from our stint with the XV very impressed, and frankly there's little to dislike. It's about managing expectations - there are competitors that absolutely shine in certain areas, but while the XV doesn't in any particular regard, it's far from dull. We loved it, and recommend it highly.

This feature they need to update..just sat in friend’s XV the other day..suspension and ride is superb, most suitable for our bumpy roads, potholes, plus the thousands of speed humps we encounter monthly .

Not that version. You need the base version for manual I thnk
The Subaru XV is not available with a manual transmission in our market. And we don't give a sod if it may be available in other markets, because that's not what we're here for.

Rear aircond can live. Boot size also okay. Ultimately the question is whether you want practicality or you want adventure. Can't have them both.

Drive it first. We say Lineartronic is the best CVT on the market for a reason.
Not for heavy foot. Cvt tend to overheated when push hard like genting ride.
We drove it to Genting. Twice. No issues.
