This movie was perfect to watch at every year. If you guys loved the opening credits, these credits will be better in Days of Future Past and Apocalypse. I recomend you to watch the Rogue Cut after watching the next sequels, please.
Sometimes i forget that Charles can just kill everyone in the world with Cerebro by focusing enough. Good thing this man is a good person (in the movies at least)
In the comics, Charles and Magneto merge in a way to become Onslaught, a being so powerful and dangerous that even Apocalypse wanted nothing to do with him. _Apocalypse,_ the mutant who is 5000+ years old and is in possession of Celestial (alien gods) technology, the mutant who has defeated the X-Men in pitched battle at their full strength, killed them himself in one continuation and who's ideology is "The Strong Survive".
All I can say about Mystique trying to 'get it on' with Logan is.... He full on stabbed her through the gut and almost killed her in the first film when she tried to impersonate Storm. She knows he can smell the difference, so this felt more like her mocking him... kind of rubbing it in Logan's face that she knows he has the hots for Jean. That's a brave thing to try on the guy that gutted you the last time you were that close.
The opening scene with Nightcrawler will ALWAYS be my favourite part of this movie!! 🖤 Also the scene where it shows Dr. Jean Grey experiencing a headache, the snippets she hears is actual dialogue later in the movie. As always I love your guys reaction! Please keep going with the X-Men movies, Havoc (aka. Alex Summers) is my favourite character in the prequels.
@breezy3392 so true. She didn't have to die, she just needed to be knocked out or something till the serum wore off. Her death has given me actual nightmares

Jeans power display is always my favorite in this film in particular. She has 2 powers, telepathy and telekinesis. Using them both at the same time is a deadly combo.
X2 is an awesome movie. One of my favorite comic book movies. That opening sequence with Nightcrawler at the White House is still one of the coolest action sequences I've ever seen. Bryan Singer really knows how to work the camera for these fight scenes.
Love this franchise, I hope you guys keep reacting till the end because "X-men: Days of future past" (Rogue's cut) - (2014) is one of the best, if not the best one due to the conjunction cast generations (originals and first class) plus fixing the very complex X-men timeline that was set off in X-Men 3. ps. Iceman's brother isn't selfish. He has anti-mutant posters on his walls. He's literally prejudice against his own brother. It was a bit that was put in by director Brian Singer because he is gay and wanted to show how people could hate their own family members for being different.

Bobby's parents asking him "Have you tried not being a mutant?" is actually a symbolism on parents questioning their LGBT kid if they have tried to become straight. The mutant problem is a symbol of LGBT struggle (who both faced discrimination, homophobia, etc). And fun fact: In the comics, Iceman was revealed to be gay. (Side note: Mystique is bisexual, who had relationship with Sabretooth and Destiny).

Imagine how many tens of millions of people Charles killed in this movie. When he was forced to use Cerebro on the humans, every car going over 30 mph would have crashed immediately as would every plane on approach or taking off. More than likely everyone undergoing surgery as well when the whole operating team became uncompacitated at once. Everyone swimming or taking a bath could likely drown in that length of time.
aye, it always baffled me how they just moved on from that like nothing happened in future movies - it's something I really liked about MCU's snappening and how immediately after you see things crashing or falling from the sky I never thought it was a set number of seconds for Xavier to kill someone's mind (some people may die in a minute, others might die in 8 seconds). Once you factor in all the circumstantial deaths that come with the world spontaneously losing control of their bodies, it really racks up, and I assumed tons of deaths would still be on Xavier's conscious. This is a good sequel. The plot to this was the X men coming together to stop Striker. ( hence the title) a couple side plots. Wolverine was a wanderer before the events of the first one. Here he gets some answers, but there is still a lot to impact. The other is jean. This sets up her story arc. Good movie.
Same!! It's going to be so so cool seeing all the stuff they have a better understanding of in hindsight, plus these two movies are about as good as the franchise gets
The introduction of Kurt Wagner(Nightcrawler) attacking the security guys, and then pouncing on the President, not to mention the musical score chosen for this is by far absolutely EPIC!!!! The musical score is 'Dies Irae', Requiem in D Minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.🎵🎶🎹
I looooveee this one! I was just obsessed with this when I was little, still have it on dvd. Nightcrawler is just 😻😻😻 and seeing more of Rogue, she was my fav!!
The scene of Stryker's men invading the mansion is so cool imo - I loved seeing the mutants all show off their powers to escape or fight back, & it was a really cool way to be introduced to Colossus. It acc kinda reminds me of a similar scene from St Trinians tbh lol.
They never got the "Phoenix" part of this right., or Scott Summers's character, who is supposed to be the leader and great taction. But they did get Nightcrawler right. Apart from that, it's one of the better X-Men films.

Bobby's brother Ronnie told the police "There are people in my house who won't let us leave...". So the police responded in force to what they thought was a hostage/home invasion scenario. Wolverine coming out with his "claws" extended only reinforced that idea in their minds. Logan seemed to me slightly confused about what was going on & how to deal with it. Like he was in defensive attack mode, cause that's what he's used to, but trying to comply to deescalate the situation. He could have, probably should have retracted his claws when they said get rid of the knives, but he didn't seem to think of that. Probably trying to think, how would the Professor handle this...? And just caught up in an awkward moment for him. Just like in the school when Stryker called him, he was torn between wanting answers, & helping the kids. He felt drawn one direction & pulled another... I think it's showing the influence Xavier has on him....
One thing I always found weird about this movie is Stryker giving who he thinks is Senator Kelly the whole "I was x when you were born" speech, despite both actors being the very same age, and both very much looking it.
Yes! Finally! I've been waiting for this reaction! This movie has a special place in my heart since it's the only x-men movie I had at home on VHS when I was a kid. I watched it all the time 😁😁😁
Jason Stryker isn't the same type of telepath that Charles is. His power is projecting illusions into people's minds. In the comics his mutant name was Mirage
You guys might not know this. But your reaction videos really help some of us through tough times Many ppl don't have many friends these days and u guys act as a sort of broken barrier to that It seems so simple but to some of us It's like really hanging out with u guys and that is a life saver for some of us So thank you And keep being awesome you two!
@@whitenoisereacts Michael Fassbinder made first class legendary , he is such a perfect younger Magneto. i also enjoyed Kevin B. as the villain was easily believable.
I like how it's about every oppressed group It's like a massive point on racism with a little Luther king vs Malcolm X And also like Bobby "coming out"
56:55. However in this vein; Prof.X's joke to Logan of you'll spend the rest of your life thinking your an 11 year old girl, becomes much darker in its implications when you remember Jason's view of himself in his mental illusions is that of an 11 year old girl. Think about that when Stryker says no my son is dead.
Charles wasnt complety wrong, the thing is that he assume that humans were fright like the mutants. Thats why people like senator Kelly (x-men 1) tried to use diplomacy to control... Humans were not in control anymore and that fright them. But in this movie, we had Stryker that was playing both sides, and didnt care about the consequences. He wanted the war, and doesnt matter who died. Humans or mutants, he didnt care. He was in a personal vendetta! Nit even Magneto was in that level. Magneto wanted war for the mutants to have peace (lets not forget Magneto was in a human nazi concentrate camp.he lost his parents there. Humans killed his parents). -For the wolverine, professor did know that Logan couldnt handle well the true. Thats why he was leaving clues, for him to find and get each information, till he understand. Just notice how Logan, almost choose the truth, instead of getting out. If Logan finds out the true in one information, he could go all rage (the wolverine movies explains better, why it was a better choice made by professor) -Without giving too much, we know the incident in Liberty Island did something to jean. Even Scott mention that! She was weak before and now she was getting stronger. In jean prespective that was horrible. She didnt know what was happening or the extension of her power. In her mind, she was affraid to hurt mutants or humans, if she couldnt control. During the movie, her power was getting stronger. In the end, jean was holding the water, controlling the jet, controlling Kurt and still using her telepathy to drive a mensage to scott! Like Logan said, She made a choice (obvious he did confort him, saying she choose Scott) Her choice was to protect scott and everyone. The comics show that Jean and Scott love is more far then just woman and man. They are some sort psychic connect... which made Scott and Jean almost impossible to love anyone more then them. -Mystique may not be the strongest mutant, but she knows how to use it very well. She can even move organs (which she did to avoid Logan killing her in the first one) she can almost replicate DNA. We saw her replicate eye retine, finger prints, voice matching! Her physical combat is far the best with feline speed, and she even can heal faster then a normal human. (in the comics Mystique may be older then then magneto or xavier and she can even reproduce sperm... I really love her visual in the movies at least rebecca version (Jennifer´s Mystique not so much) How dedicate Rebecca was. She was around 7 to 9 hours in the make up (each scale required to be individually put on her) in x-men 2 she was 5 to 6 hours. I just wish they kept the slow changing instead of the fast. We could see the scales better turning and create the image she wanted... Plus, Rebecca was very beautiful around this time (not that she isnt now. because she is)
Great reaction as always guys. The thing I wanted to add was that the love scene between Mystique/Jean and Logan was not just thrown in or gratuitous. If you guys noticed during their fight in the first movie, Mystique licked her lips at Logan. So it seemed that she had the hots for him and this was her opportunity🤣🤣🤣
X-men: first class shows how Eric and Charles meet and become friends. While no one will ever be able to top Ian Mckellan and Patrick Stuart playing those 2, Michael Fastbender does a great job
Some people forget that Professor X is classified as a Level 5 mutant just like Phoenix. Level 5 mutants have a power level capable of almost god like proportions. Just like Magneto,Juggernaut and Omega Red are also classified as Level 5 mutants
Not sure whether another commenter has mentioned it, but I believe the Director's Cut or something similar shows a scene at the end of the first film where when Magneto's device that he used Rogue to power in an attempt to make humans into mutants explodes, Jean gets caught in the explosion and it's implied to have caused the change in her powers (and the reason why is explained a bit in the third film).
Guys you need to know that this entire series was based on the animated show from the 90's and what i recall (I was 10) when it came out, that is was the first time we had an animated series so similar to the comics, basically animated comics. check it out. FYI Magneto, Xavier and al the characters have crazy muscular and attractive bodies. like on the comics unlike this movies(except Mystic, she is a carbon copy). Apocalypse which comes later on, on the comics and animated series looked cooler than Thanos basically bigger and scarier.
Hahaha I'd believe that Logan is an art professor. My high school photography and ceramics teacher was a squat, grumpy, bearded dude who rode a motorcycle and was super into classic cars.

I wonder if the Wolverine movies are considered X-Men movies as well? I don't know, but Allen Cummings killed Nightcrawler. I don't know if anyone else could have played him so perfectly. Nightcrawler was raised crazy religious as a monk. Just steer clear of the Phoenix movie, you will walk away angry. It's so bad, but that could just be me.
Actor Ray Park's other role besides Toad of X-Men and Darth Maul of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but Snake Eyes of these movies as well- 1. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra(2009) 2. G.I. Joe: Retaliation(2013)
"Logan, my tolerance for your smoking in the mansion notwithstanding. Continue smoking that in here and you'll spend the rest of your days under the belief that you're an 8-year-old girl."

This is a good sequel. The plot to this was the X men coming together to stop Striker. ( hence the title) a couple side plots. Wolverine was a wanderer before the events of the first one. Here he gets some answers, but there is still a lot to impact. The other is jean. This sets up her story arc. Good movie.
DUDE i don’t care about the continuity. i’m so excited about first class and days of future past for the character development of charles and eric
Same!! It's going to be so so cool seeing all the stuff they have a better understanding of in hindsight, plus these two movies are about as good as the franchise gets
Same!!!
28:44 I love seeing how characters w/ Pyrokinesis can acc extinguish flames too
Charles and Erik have 2 paths to the same goal. Many have compared them to Malcolm X & MLK
Dumbledore and Grindelwald are other 2 characters that follow the same idea.
Wolverine had a special bone structure that was extremely strong. The metal added the unbreakable.
They never got the "Phoenix" part of this right., or Scott Summers's character, who is supposed to be the leader and great taction. But they did get Nightcrawler right. Apart from that, it's one of the better X-Men films.
Look at the file at 12:52 , it says "Maximoff 2" . I have never noticed that before lol
Hi guys. Thanks for your reaction, it's very cool that the videos are not short and we can see your reaction to many moments)) I can't wait for your reaction X-Men 3, I very veeeery love this part. And the rest naturally)).
And if you haven't watched yet, it would be great to see your reaction to Fantastic four 1,2 (2005 ,2007). Thx))
Probably the best or second-best X-flick
Brian Cox was also a smaller character in The Long Kiss Goodnight, starring Geena Davis and Samuel L Jackson. One of my fave movies.
I watched this all the time growing up and never did I understand that the image in the water at the end was the phoenix.
One thing I always found weird about this movie is Stryker giving who he thinks is Senator Kelly the whole "I was x when you were born" speech, despite both actors being the very same age, and both very much looking it.
This bugged me when I first saw the film
Even if you skip "Xmen 3" or the other solo Wolverine films , you must watch "Logan".
It is amazing from a storytelling and film making standpoint.
Yes!
The 3rd one Linda my fav.) Can't wait to see you guys watching it. ☺
Deathstrike's death was GENUINELY heartbreaking.
You guys might not know this.
But your reaction videos really help some of us through tough times
Many ppl don't have many friends these days and u guys act as a sort of broken barrier to that
It seems so simple but to some of us
It's like really hanging out with u guys and that is a life saver for some of us
So thank you
And keep being awesome you two!
I know exactly how you feel and I agree.
Cyclops is one of my favourite he's a very sweet guy
They don't make movies like these anymore
That’s so true
Can't wait for Xmen First Class!
Same honestly
@@whitenoisereacts Michael Fassbinder made first class legendary , he is such a perfect younger Magneto. i also enjoyed Kevin B. as the villain was easily believable.
I am just so happy you are reacting to the X men movies ❤️
Same!
I like how it's about every oppressed group
It's like a massive point on racism with a little Luther king vs Malcolm X
And also like Bobby "coming out"
Absolutely love this movie. So many great moments, and I love how diverse the powers are. Makes for some great sequences like the X-Mansion invasion.
I've definitely watched this one many times. I remember being obsessed and I really loved playing the Playstation game too
Happy birthday "STEVE IRWIN" (February 22, 1962)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Rest in peace. We love you and miss you 🐊
Oh jeez
If Logan finds out the true in one information, he could go all rage (the wolverine movies explains better, why it was a better choice made by professor)
-Without giving too much, we know the incident in Liberty Island did something to jean.
Plus, Rebecca was very beautiful around this time (not that she isnt now. because she is)
The woman wolverine fights is named Lady Deathstrike.
Lmao, still a bit gratuitous but I see what u mean
Fun fact Nightcrawler is Mystic's son.
Nightcrawler is Mystique and Azazel's son. You'll see Azazel later. He's like Nightcrawler but red.
X-men: first class shows how Eric and Charles meet and become friends. While no one will ever be able to top Ian Mckellan and Patrick Stuart playing those 2, Michael Fastbender does a great job
Probably seen this movie 20 times and this is the first time I’ve noticed the name remy lebeau (gambit) when mystique was on strikers computer.
Some people forget that Professor X is classified as a Level 5 mutant just like Phoenix. Level 5 mutants have a power level capable of almost god like proportions. Just like Magneto,Juggernaut and Omega Red are also classified as Level 5 mutants
Please don't ever change you both seem so genuine
Thanks
Hi,thanks for your reaction. Second X-Men Is my favorite. I'm really looking forward to your reaction to the third film.
Wolverine is the GOAT
3:51 4:32 Nightcrawler was such a badass in this scene, but he's even more impressive in *Wolverine & the X-Men* tbh.
X men The last stand has an end credit scene.
i love the xmen movies. i really hope you watch the rest of them. the prequals are really interesting too.
My high school photography and ceramics teacher was a squat, grumpy, bearded dude who rode a motorcycle and was super into classic cars.
the Phoenix was waking up, OMG THIS IS ICONIC AF
i hate that we have to wait for more xmen reactions but im just glad you guys are gonna check the other movies out. keep up the great reactions love ur videos !
X2 is good , days of future past was excellent , first class was good , & Logan was a masterpiece
For us they are!!
after you're done with the trilogy you guys NEED to watch Logan
We are doing all the movies! In order
Gosh I really love this mystique ❤
"Is he going to reverse Uno this thing?" Lol
Actor Ray Park's other role besides Toad of X-Men and Darth Maul of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but Snake Eyes of these movies as well-
1. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra(2009)
2. G.I. Joe: Retaliation(2013)
"Logan, my tolerance for your smoking in the mansion notwithstanding. Continue smoking that in here and you'll spend the rest of your days under the belief that you're an 8-year-old girl."
So legendary
Nightcrawler is Mystique’s son. The is why they have the same color skin and eye color. The tail and teleporting powers he gets from his father, Azazel.
