  • This is my first RC Plane build from scratch. The Bronco took my eye, so I downloaded a plan and built a foam, differential throttle model using the radio and motors from a B2 Bomber flying wing.

You are certainly coming along in the RC Hobby there Dave! Our gang of Old Farts should follow your lead a bit more in adapting what we have rather than splashing out on more new toys! 🙄😉
Being in the Big Smoke makes it easier to access materials (except via the usual slow sampan) for you than for us out in the sticks. We've got some thin EPS foam from the local Chinese Junk Shop (but heavy with the paper covering) and might be able to use the nichrome wire out of an old toaster for making a cutter for the usual packing box stuff. Links to your supplier of both materials would be appreciated. 😊

Hi, yes - there is nothing like flying (or crashing) something that you have built yourself! The nichrome wire is a tricky one to source - and yes old toasters or heaters could be a source. I am lucky to have someone in the family who collects such stuff. The Zart shop was a great find and they do ship (at a cost!). zartart.com.au. Cheers.
