Thanks for the video. I was thinking I was stuck with the width of the placemat tool. One idea to try: Try placing the gelli plate on the card stock, turn upside down and then place the card against the placement tool. Then peel off the card and the gelli plate should be in the correct position. At least in theory. 🙂
Thank you Fulton, you are very generous and patient to show how the tool works and the registration. The prints turned out beautifully. Thanks again.....Alioban ❤
It's really helpful when you randomly place the plate ,do the outline, measure the device then do the outline of the device and then fix it safely 😊 Thank you so much for everything what you are doing on YT. 🔥👌🥰
Dankeschön für das Video. Ich habe auch so eine kleine Gelplatte, und wie du zeigst, kann man auch damit kleine Kunstwerke machen. Ich werde mir so ein Tool kaufen, es ist sehr hilfreich. ❤❤❤
Thanks so much, I bought one of these tools but it came with no instructions at all. I will be using with a larger plate and larger paper but the principle will be the same. I have a glass cutting board with accurate markings to place my gel plate on so a lot of the measuring is made easier, as well as I can place it very nicely straight too.
The company has posted video on how to use the tool. They assume you're just going to butt it up against the plate, which doesn't provide wide margins but also doesn't require much thought.
Thank you for your detailed explanation! Very useful. You have so much patience! I have a question: did you ever try to use the Gelli plate on stretched canvas? Do you think it could work? I would like to try but wanted to know if anyone did it already
I prefer making prints on paper and then collaging them on canvas. Stretched canvas is not as absorbent as paper, so the results with a gelli plate are not as interesting. You can try it yourself and see.
Good morning from England. I am new to gelli plate art. I am using your examples to practise. I have many Galeria paints, some old, some new. They dry so quickly! Should I give up using those paints and buy a whole new set of another make. My intention is to print on fabric. Thank you 😀
Hi Glenda, try Pebeo Fabric paints especially made for textiles. Don't use the old acrylics, they may not be reliable on fabric. Being frugal, however, I never throw out old paints unless they have dried up completely. They can be revived with gel medium or gloss mediums for other projects. Have fun!
Hi Fulton, I love your videos and find them very inspirational. What a joy to find your abstract work! I have painted abstracts for years, on paper then canvas… so I was very excited to find you… printing away. 🎉. I went the way of making my gelatine plates so I could ‘go big’. Thank you. What weight card stock do you use? Eileen from UK
Fulton, this is wonderful. TY! I have this size, and it is the favorite size of my 8 year old granddaughter. I can’t wait to try this with her. 🎉
Fascinating

I really appreciate watching you create on a smaller plate as I’m not able to afford the large plate that you use. Someday.

New tools and paints. I like it, Fulton 😃🥰
They are all gems. My favorites are the red and black and the green and back. Eye candy.
The baby roller had me smiling the entire time. So cute. Love the minis! ❤
Really appreciate your scaling down for this video.

Danke fürs Zuschauen! 💖💖
Thank you again Fulton. Your peaceful creativity always gives me joy. BTW, for the first time I think I like the FIRST pull with the 3 colours.
The series came out looking sort of Halloween-y! I see all kinds of things in them❤😊
Thank you, what a lovely abstract set of paintings. I really enjoyed watching this effects you created on the Gelli plate.
Magical mini masterpieces Fulton 🤩
The horizontal orientation towards the top of the page reminds me of a an old polaroid photo
Thank you💝
I have a 6” x 6” gelli plate. This gives me inspiration on how to Star using it.
