It was funny, Tig's lack of interest in knowing who lots of actors and actresses are coupled with Shailene's name and how it could sound, was hilarious 😂😂. Oh man, I love Tig Notaro! She is the most unpretentious person ever. Her show is just like that. And the guests are such good sports. It’s exactly what we need in this world of super inflated egos. Yeah Tig!!!
Tobias M Well, everybody has an ego. It’s part of the human experience. And there’s nothing inherently wrong wanting fame or recognition- entertainers enhance my life every day. They make me laugh, help me look at or feel an issue more deeply by portraying a particularly poignant role. But it seems that so many get so caught up in the fame itself that they can’t stop and laugh at themselves or share a genuine moment with somebody who’s not a sycophant. It seems to me that that’s no way to live- or at least to live fully. So I said super inflated ego rather than ego.
I love that Stephen greets everyone differently according to their preferences! Though I imagine he gives the best hugs. His guests always seem more relaxed.
