      It was funny, Tig's lack of interest in knowing who lots of actors and actresses are coupled with Shailene's name and how it could sound, was hilarious 😂😂. Reese probably saw this and had a chuckle too. My cousin is deaf, she wears hearing aids, and misheard something once it was when we were kids, I wasn't being cruel, but it was very funny at the time I laughed but said sorry.

    • @thebeardedlady76
      @thebeardedlady76 5 лет назад +13

      Tobias M Well, everybody has an ego. It’s part of the human experience. And there’s nothing inherently wrong wanting fame or recognition- entertainers enhance my life every day. They make me laugh, help me look at or feel an issue more deeply by portraying a particularly poignant role. But it seems that so many get so caught up in the fame itself that they can’t stop and laugh at themselves or share a genuine moment with somebody who’s not a sycophant. It seems to me that that’s no way to live- or at least to live fully. So I said super inflated ego rather than ego.

    Tig Notaro is so dry. I love her humour. Whoever writes her lines for ST:Discovery, is very aware of her humour. She gets great lines.
    Someone in work recently told me a colleague had been looking for me and when I asked who, he said he didn’t know her name but “shes the one who has the nice ass”.
    I was dumbstruck. I said I really didn’t pay attention when a woman walked away from me (it’s a busy place and I’m under pressure) so I couldn’t tell if they had a nice ass.

    • @MiSSTiquE
      @MiSSTiquE 5 лет назад

      It's called prosopagnosia. I don't know whether I qualify for this diagnosis. But I have a very hard time recognising faces and putting a name to them especially out of contextual situations. I truly don't how other people do it. Worse is that I seem to have a very recognisable face and people love to come up to call me by my name and endlessly play the do you know who I am game which I hate.

    I can't remember the last time I related with a guest so much. I only realized that in Witherspoon's story she didn't say "she leans" because otherwise it wouldn't be a story. And I only recognized the people she did plus Thor and Daenerys in the celebrity recognition segment (and yes those are the names that popped up in my mind first, I had to focus before I could remember their real names).
