Groot was originally created as a villain back he was first introduced. I find it interesting that Marvel decided to dial it back and return to his original roots, pun intended. Curious to see how it goes.
Recently in the new Wolverine comic run, Beast turns into a Mad Scientist like Dark Beast from the Age of Apocalypse.
Yes. For some unknown, unexplained reason, Groot has seemingly become evil and turned into some kind of apocalyptic force of destruction, ala Galactus!
Maybe this is the monster from Planet X version
So in this new Guardians of Galaxy comic run, Groot has somehow turned evil.
Groot turning evil will be a twist in this comic.
Idk why but when I read this comment I thought of that line in The Rise of Skywalker lol

Al Ewing Guardians Was the worst job he has ever done...
How do you feel about Ewings Guardians series? I loved the Rocket series but I didn’t really like the Guardians series. I loved the first 4 or so issues but the Guardians were separated for most of the series and we didn’t get to see the original guardians interacting that much. There were so many new Guardians. After issue 10 or so it was just generic, “here’s a bad guy to beat, here’s another bad guy to beat” I thought there was so much potential for Rocket in this series, but Ewing really didn’t use him at all aside from the first few issues. I want to see more of his Rocket. It is my favorite version of Rocket.
Love the costumes of the characters. Especially Star-Lord and Gamora.

I noticed that Rocket isn't with them. This might be why Groot is now a problem.
