I know this is meant to pump people up about Scarlet Scarab, but, MK has a small team already helping him in his job. It has 2 vampires, Tigra, and Hunter's Moon (occasionally) on it
Not to mention Midnight Mission, a sentient LIVING house !!!
Yeah the whole marketing of him "not being alone this time" makes zero sense, cause he's had so many different consistent allys both on the field and off for the last 40 years, and in this series alone he has had 4 for the entire run. No idea what they're talking about.

The original Scarlet scarab was in the comics it's just the mantle being passed

@@wdcain1 the point they're making is that Moon Knight has had a rogues gallery since his first run in the 80s. Jed Mackay didn't invent or create his rogues gallery for the first time in this comic run. The Moon Knight MCU show just decided for some reason to use none of them. Because Bogart doesn't count, that was an Easter egg and nothing else.

Moon Knight has had the midnight mission with his friends for like a year now so he's hardly been doing it solo not to mention hunters moon, you know, the other fist of khonshu. And his first major event? I know it wasn't popular but we can't ignore that he clowned every single hero in a multi issue event that crossed over into other series and had its own name but yeah, no first event ever. Like I'm happy they're putting what's her face from the show into the comics but you don't have to lie about it lol
Hope Lyla has a diffrent story/origin as her Mcu counterpart don't break Marc and Tigra up
If you haven't read it yet, you'll be happy know (as I am), that the origin is different. Mainly due to the fact that Layla in the MCU is a complete ripoff of Marlene from the comics in practically every way, so they really couldn't do it like the show.

How are they going to explain layla in the comics? She was Marc's wife in the show but was she ever even in the comics? I don't know
Layla was one of the MCU's attempts to add diversity to the Moon Knight story. In the comics she's Marlene Arlaune, who's her own great character who has been Marc's love interest since the very beginning. Although right now they're not really talking that much outside of Marc's daughter. They can't just erase Marlene in the comics like they did in the show, so they have to introduce Layla as someone else entirely, a new character to take the mantle of Scarlet Scarab in the comics. So they're probably just going to make the exact same character but with a different backstory completely

Can't fault him for not knowing a "new" character who has only appeared in the TV show. Basically, Layla is a race and name swapped Marlene. She is Marlene from the comics in practically every way. Even has the exact same origin story as her.
